    Hi all,

Hae another curry last night and today has been patchy as we went to a garden party so it was all finger food but I did my best to stay within sensible boundaries :)

B: Boiled eggs and dry wholemeal toast
L: 3 boiled new potatoes, 1 slice cold roast turkey, big spoon of braised red cabbage, tzatziki, green salad, 2 x 1cm slices french stick, 1 piece of cheshire cheese the size of a playing card and about 1/4 cm thick, grapes, strawberries and a slice of cheesecake 3cm wide.
D: Potato wedges and half a tin of baked beans

Tomorrow is back on track 100% with lots of variety, I am baking some seedy rolls to have for my breakfast tomorrow with apple jam following Tappys advice to try different breakfasts

    L: HM veg soup, apple
D: Chicken casserole with cabbage, carrots, green beans and sweet potato mash

    S: Maybe a skinny cappuccino

Have a great week all, good luck to everyone :)

    Morning everyone :hello:

Not a bad weekend, still no crisps!!!
No idea what to do about meals this week, I need to 'feast from the freezer' (very MSE) and so I'll need to see what I can magic up that's healthy too.
I am off to buy some more fruit today so that's a good start. DD has stuffed all the grapes.

WI day is Thursday so really hoping news will be encouraging this week as I could do with a boost.

I hope everyone has a good week, I just love checking in to get all the goss...x

    Morning all :hello:

I had a bit of a pigout last night, bread and butter. This was after a phone call from DD to say that ex OH now has MRSA. So with all that's going on at the moment I'm struggling a bit.......and today I have a migraine:rolleyes:

Brekkie was polenta, giant mushroom (both needed using up) and a poached egg.
Lunch is salad with last nights leftover roasties (I love cold spuds) and fruit.
Teas is going to be SW courgette quiche with SW wedges and broad beans.
Migraine meds give me tha munchies so I think I'd better take today as it comes..

    Well done Nikki :T

  • well done to all the losers and sts-ers, and welcome to all the newcomers - coming on here is definitely a great first step, or boost to your efforts!

rockie - so sorry to hear that, you're doing really well to hold it together at the moment. hoe the next news from the hospital is more positive

bad week for me, a 2lbs gain, and no surprise either! still, trying to get back on the wagon today:
b - branflakes and skimmed milk (might try to mix this up a bit, after tappys advice)
l - bean and veg soup, might buy a roll to go with it
s - alpro dessert, penguin biscuit (oops)
t - something with onions, cabbage and courgette, we've got loads!! won't be home til 9 so probable something like a stir fry

rockie - what do you do with your polenta? i've never tried to cook it...

    Hi guys!

Hoping you'll let me join the gang? I'm going to be upfront - i've had weight-loss-surgery. BUT i had a gastric band, and for many many reasons, right now i have very little restriction (ie; i can basically eat whatever i want!) - which has led me to gain 1st 7lb in the last 3 months :(

SO - i'd love to be able to join you all, if you'll have me.

I'm starting to feel really frumpy again - have gone from 20st 2lb to 15st back to 16st 7lb.

Am looking forward to reading through the recipes/ideas/inspiration on this thread! xxxx
  • Hey I would like to join in, I started my diet this weekend I am cooking from scratch and trying to make healthier alternatives to my fave dishes but as I am a student it all needs to be on the cheap. I have joined a site called myfatsecret, its a free community where you can record you weight loss, food intake and exercise it also has a diet tracker application for facebook. I am going to start attempting to walk for 60 mins everyday. I want to loose 70lbs by next summer's graduation from university.

    Breakfast: 1 apple, 1 banana
lunch: 2 egg sanwiches made with nimble bread and reduced fat mayo and salad.
Dinner: housemate is doing pasta/ pizza buffet for us all but is making lower fat versions for me with reduced fat cheese on the pizza and tomato based sauce on a pasta dish.
Extras: 1 cup of tea made with skimmed milk + diet lemonade.
