  • Don't think I've said hello to all the newbies yet so hi guys:hello:, welcome aboard and good luck!

It's been a struggle but I've managed to stay on track this week..... one or two blips of the choccy variety but all in all pretty good and haven't gone over 1500 cals a day once, even with blips!!:A Looking forward to eating out tomorrow night..... that's going to be one great big blip, and I've got no intention of it being otherwise!:p

Stick at it folks, we ARE going to get there!

I'd like to cheer up meanmarie but it just gets worse  OH has just been turned down for incapacity benefit as he has gaps in his NI contributions  So no money for him and it looks like they expect us to live on my wages:mad:

Not sure what I'm going to do about that.......

I had a giant mushroom stuffed with spinach and topped with rye breadcrumbs and a little bit of cheese with polenta for my tea - delicious!!

I will have a LARGE glass of wine tonight....

  • Hello everyone again,

just a couple of quickies, people keep talking about recipes, is there a link to them somewhere? Sorry if it's really obvious and I have missed it!

second, does anyone have any ideas about this - why is it that when I started this "lifestyle" change both my scales and my wii fit weighed me in at 11st and now my wii fit says I'm 10st 10lb, but my scales say I'm 10st 5lb? I know which I want to believe, but feel I can't yet as I thought wii fit was meant to be super accurate!

Have been very good, please to have lost another 2lb to take me down to 10st 10lb, and exercising like mad. Started calorie counting this week and have managed to let myself have one small choc treat a day :j did you know half a bounty is only 133 cal, half a chunky kit kat is about 132 cal and a whole curly wurly is only 115 cal?!!!!:rotfl: Unbelieveably I have managed to buy multipacks of said treats and NOT gorge them all in one go!:A Am being so good and just having one a day and it is helping me keep being good I think. Might have to forgo it tomorrow as going out for Indian, pressie from work when my temp contract finished in July - feel a fraud as back at same place now, someone is poorly!! Was back in first week too! (am supply teacher just to clarify!) Still I will enjoy the Indian, might just have to eat nothing but fruit all day tomorrow!

Sorry, this was meant to be quick, turned into an epistle as usual!:embarasse

Hugs to everyone having a hard time, and thanks to everyone for keeping posting as I read them all and it helps me keep motivated.

I've been on my holidays. I've eaten junk all week, and I've really missed you all.

I will be healthy eating again from tomorrow hopefully.

    Take care all of you!

I believe you lodge an appeal next. I've not had the experience myself, but I heard someone talking about having to see the doctor about Incap the other week.

Weighed myself today expecting the worst but woooo! Have lost a whole pound. :D Have not exactly been saintly this week but was premenstrual for last weigh-in so that might account for it.

Have tried to reign in the alcohol as well. I've been concerned about OH's alcohol intake so a month ago started a secret alcohol diary :D to present him with at the end of the month to show him in black and white what he has been drinking. I recorded my intake too and have been quite shocked! First week OH had 68 units  and I had 30  . Second week he cut down to 40 and me to 24. 3rd week he was on 36 and I was on 21 - but clearly we are BOTH over safe limits and need to sort it out. Now I know why I find it so difficult to lose weight lol.

Went out for dinner and had a large slice of garlic/cheese bread, then small piece of salmon with about 4 tiny potatoes, lots of green beans and more than a pint of water, so not feeling too unhappy about that, but will have to catch myself on and cut down a bit on the size of my portions

    Night all
