Rockie...didn't mean to sound frivolous...sorry to hear that your OH is not entitled to Incapacity Benefit...not up to speed on UK rules and regs, but surely there is some kind of means tested allowance due if he is not able to work due to illness and you are not bringing in enough to pay your bills and feed yourselves?? As someone else suggested I think that you should appeal the decision...they can't let you starve, can they?

    Apologies and hugs

Unfortunatly the means tested amounts are really low.

    Good morning all,

Rockie4 - sorry to hear about your other half... Keep positive, but get some advice from the cab or other professionals who can tell you what your entitled to - if you haven't already of course:rolleyes:

everyone else - well done to all who have STS or lost - its really hard perservering all the time, but remember your goal and keep focused with treats and support - whatever they are for you!!!!

I'm ok - tired but alert - and I've lost 2LB's which i'm happy for - also I haven't binged yet this month, so i'm progressing slowly but surely. I'm definately taking a long term approach to healthy eating - and it is working (positive thoughts...lol)

Anyway thanks for your posts - they really help me and i think about you all the time...

    hugs always

  • Money Saving Mummy - my wii fit records my weight incorrectly to my home scales and my slimming world scales, always makes me heavier!

Rockie - sorry your having such a tough time at the moment, I hope things improve for you soon.

I have been saintly so far this week! I made a SW quiche which I am having as lunch and snacks (veg one) and today I am trying 2 new recipes, spinach & lentil dahl (for dinner) and bean & pasta soup (for lunch) both full of goodness and syn free! I am also having bread with the soup (both b choices) melon, strawbs and natural yog for brekkie a not guilty lolly and some babybel light and milky coffee.

The recipes are in the slimming world mag but if anyone wants them I could post them.

Keep trying ladies and gent - we WILL get there!

    morning all!

Rambler and JoJo - well done on your losses!:T

mummygems - let me know how the SW recipes go, although I go to SW I dont tend to use their recipes very often just adjust my own but I'd be interested to know what they are like - I always have green days. How many syns are in the lollies? I have the skinny cow ones at 4 syns.

3 days off now:j cant seem to get my head in gear and meal plan at all, I usually end up cooking 2 meals as I dont eat meat and DH does.

B - soaked muesli with skimmed milk
    small slice toast

S - got a bit of leftover syn free soup

L - jacket spud with beans or spaghetti

    D - ? not sure yet.

snacks - need to buy some fruit today and have also just taken some fruit salad out of the freezer for later.

hope you all have a good weekend!
    Do what you love :happyhear

Hey Gang...you all sound so positive--Well Done Yooze :T

Just a note to PurpleSkies--I don't weigh either & use my clothes as a judgement of how well [or not :o ] I'm doing. On the whole, it's going in the right direction once more, especially where me nikki-nax are concerned...DON'T WORRY! There's no danger of them leading me into a front page expose of any kind just yet:rotfl: but they don't cut off me circulation either :j

On the whole I do think that I'm going in the right direction because my clothes do feel a bit more loose and I've even got a few things I can't wear anymore because they're too big!! Although not weighing does give me a bit more of a "relaxed" attitude to my weight loss so I really should try to be a bit more focused!

    Can I join in please?

I have been trying to lose weight for exactly 1 year and 2 weeks!!

I have lost 4 st. 3lbs so far so good luck to everyone here!

I couldn't afford a gym memebrship so use exercise dvd's and an exercise bike along with low fat/low cal meals - mostly lots of veg and chicken and fish. Fish I find expensive so often have a tin of tuna in brine or spring water n a jacket potato with salad.

A friend of mine got an exercise bike from freecycle so it is worth looking there if anyone wants some exercise equipment.2.gif

    Hi all,

Welcome and well done so far Fluffybishop - more than the weight loss - its the amount of time you've been perservering...keep going...

Purpleskies - I frequently go through patches of not losing weight and i used to get distrought and be weeping all over the place because I was the same weight even through i'd worked my little cotton socks off!!!!

However I now use my waist size as my guide rather than scales, but the scales still get used occasionally

Most important though is be honest with yourself about your progress - and if you have had a positive week - be proud of yourself :A

    Big hugs to all
