    Hiya folks :hello:
    Thanks for all the good wishes and ideas, OH is off to Welfare rights on Monday so we'll see what they say. :confused:
    I just had one large G&T last night but I might go for the wine tonight :rolleyes:

    So far today I've had poached eggs and mushrooms with dry toast amd HM carrot and oriander soup with a couple of slices of HM granary bread.
    Planning to make a cauliflower and pea curry for tea and we'll have it with rice, and seeing as how OH has the oven on for bread I might make some WW onion bahjees to go with it.

    Hi all,

    Really gutted to have STS this week, I didn't snack, I didn't go over my cals, I exercised and nothing :( I know its not a gain but I seem to be stuck here and I am just 2lb off a normal BMI so its utter torture. Maybe try some different foods instead of the usual porridge/soup combo for breakfast and lunch, not sure what else to try as I can't cut back my cals any more.

    B: Porridge with raspberries
    L: Half a bag of chips (fed up because of my naff WI, I know it won't help but at least it was only half a small bag ;) )
    D: Veg dhansak and boiled rice, 1 poppadom.

    S: 1 packet of crisps while watching the Liverpool v United game today in the pub

    Tomorrow is a new day, it will be hard because I don't seem to be getting anywhere but I must stick with it

    Evening all,

    Congratulations losers and STSers, struggling a bit at present but feel thinner...not always a reliable feeling but it seems to help me.

    Today I have eaten:

    B....2 slices fresh pineapple;
    L.....small serving potato skin with cheese, caesar salad with chicken;
    D....12 chips and about one-eighth breast of chicken
    Snacks....apple, pear and maybe small melon that needs eating.

    Have a good evening all

    Floyd - variety is a good idea:T , in SW our leader always says that if you are stuck try some different foods, I once tried to have a different breakfast(all healthy and low cal of course)everyday for a week while eating the rest of the day as normal and I lost 2 and a half pounds!worth a try!

    *deep breath*

    hi all.

    i need to stop binging. i've never really acknowledged this before but i eat
    when im bored, i eat when i'm unhappy - to be honest it's rare that i associate food with hunger, more like i just eat what i want and think that tomorrow i'll do the diet, lose some weight, etc.

    for as long as i can remember i've thought that tomorrow, or next week, next month year etc i'll change. well i want to change now. i'm 20 and if i don't get a handle on this soon i never will.

    i eat quite healthy meals i think but snack constantly and eat cheese and chocolate every day. it's hard to write this because reading it back it sounds like someone else writing, but i know that its me this applies to, its me that needs to change my eating habits permanently. i hope that the os board will be a source of support and that i'll be encouraged to change my habits and keep it up.

  • Mornin' all,

    Welcome fluffybishop (congrats on the brilliant loss so far:T ) and fff.... well done for getting your head into the right gear to go for this. You CAN do it and we'll help any way we can.

    Glad you had a good time pebbles, good luck with the fresh start tomorrow!

    Had a lovely meal out last night and not too much damage after all.... I ended up driving which cut the drinks cals to next to nothing (lime and soda) and was stuffed to the brim after a gorgeous piece of steak, loads of veggies, mushrooms and a few chips so shared a pud with my friend.... we didn't want to miss out completely!:D

    The sun's out today so making the most of it, already got one load of washing out and another's nearly ready to go then off for a long walk this afternoon, maybe pick up some more blackberries if there's any left.

    Off to get my weetabix now, lunch will be 2 small tuna rolls and chicken dinner tonight.

    Have a lovely Sunday everyone, and be good!:D

    Welcome newbies,

    Cold today and drizzling for the last couple of hours.

    I have eaten:

    B/L....Ham salad sandwich ( nice bread, although white), coffee;
    D...will be stir fried pork with either rice or noodles, haven't decided yet, some stewed apple and creme fraiche, maybe apple and plum or peach.

    Really want to get below the 14 stone before I go on holiday, as in spite of lots of walking there will be pasta, pizza and wine to counteract!

  • Hi all :hello:

    Getting really frustrated with this weight loss malarky cos now that I've lost one stone I cant find anything to fit :( All my trousers keep falling down :o But when I try a smaller size they wont go on over my thighs. :confused: I think I've got size 14/16 legs but size 12 bum :doh: :o so any trousers that fit over my legs are too big for my bum. Think I need to start wearing skirts instead maybe, but I'm more comfortable in jeans. :rolleyes:

    Oooh... the other day I managed to get into a (size 12) skirt that I've got from 3 years ago. :D :j I'm well chuffed about that. Its the only thing I kept once I got pregnant because I thought there would be no way I would be able to get into any of my old clothes once I had quit smoking and had a baby <and put on weight> so I just kept the one skirt and donated everything else to charity. I thought it would be nicer to reward myself with new clothes once I'd lost weight rather than depress myself seeing all my old clothes that I couldnt fit into IYSWIM.

    Food today
    B: rice crispies L: toast D: sausage and bean hotpot, mash & veg S: fruit/yoghurt

    Take care everyone :)

    Similar problem here Nikki! My 16's are falling off and I need new work trousers before I embarrass myself :o Yesterday I tried some on in M&S, the 16's were too big and although I could get the 14's on and fastened it wasn't a pretty sight :rotfl:
    Do any shops do a 15's :rotfl:

    We've had a really long walk today, we tried a new walk supposed to be 4 and a half miles but me were walking for 4 hours! So frustrating because we could see where we wanted to be but couldn't get there!!! We were up and down and backwards and forwards for aaaages!!!!! OH was in a foul mood which didn't help, he picked the walk but of course it was my fault we got lost!!!!

    So food today was boiled eggs and soldiers, a cheese and cucumber sandwich and a banana then a fruit tart (no cream) when we finally made it back to civilisation!
    Tea was cauli cheese, roasties and corn on the cob.
    Hopefully I won't have much else tonight, I'll probably be asleep for most of it!
