Hello
I've been lurking - but not posting as I sort it in September. Well after getting back on the wagon last week I'd like to report a loss of 3lb! It is a slightly 'false' loss as I put on about 3lb after being on holiday for a week and drinking everyday for 8 days, I do find that when I drink I do put on weight (and probably retain loads of water). Anyway no booze for me last week (and I didn't want any) will continue until I do fancy some!
Will continue on the straight and narrow (rocked up at me ww meeting again today - just to have in documented and not me fudging it!)
Good luck everyone - keep going it's never a quick fix!:A0 -

Hi All,
I have just joined this forum to try to address my poor financial situation and it seems appropriate that i also focus on my weight. I believe that this OS forum is perfect for me as I do like to cook(and eat:rotfl: ) and I desperately need to improve my financial situation. I haven't always been big(14st11p) I am about to turn 36 and for most of my 20s I weighed an average 10st but at one point after my father in law passed away and I had an awful flu I was down to 8st3 and was that way for around a year as I was cycling an hour to and from work everyday.
Anyway that seems an eternity away as I started putting on weight as soon as I gave up smoking and had some personal crisis(dont we all) and it has continually crept up over the past 6 years> Well enough is enough I'm inspired to really shake up my life and it seems smart if I am going to watch what I spend that I also watch what I eat. I have always eaten a healthy main meal and plenty of veg and fruit. My weakness has been junk snack food and COKE(the drink that is:D ) So now I have dble incentive to cut it out- financial and health. I buy a lot of organic produce plus grow my own so the savings will have to be there.
I would like to do the olympic challenge as the thought of trying to lose 4st 11p is just too daunting. So bronze for 13st3p, silver 11st 9 and GOLD 10st:j I'd like my bronze by December8th!
Sorry I've been a bit long winded promise I will be shorter from now on:oThailand 3010/15000 20150 -
Morning all,
Welcome Puss14 you are in the right place although we are thin on the ground at the moment there is always plenty of support and a gentle kick in the pants when neededGood luck with your weight loss journey
I went swimming last night but didn't do as much as usual because an ignorant bloke thought it was acceptable to do big splashy front crawl when everyone else does a gently breaststroke as the pool is so small. Result was that I inhaled a tidal wave of chlorinated water that put me off my stroke as I couldn't stop coughing so I only did 26 lengths instead of 36 (I do 2 more each time I go). Anyway, I do feel better for it although I am aching a little.
B: Porridge made with half water half semi milk and a dsp of honey
L: HM veg soup with small wholemeal rollNo idea yet, yesterday I ended up with wholemeal pasta pesto as OH was working so something just as easy, possibly vegetable rice
S: A skinny cappuccino, trying to skip the snacks this week as I desperately want to be 11 something in time for my friends wedding in October
Hope everyone is feeling fab, well done to the losers and hugs to those lurkers who may have slid off the wagon temporarily0 -

Hello folks :hello:
I know, I've been MIA for about a week now:o The toad moved in full time and I have stuffed cr*p for England
I did do digusting amounts of walking/swimming/dancing though so I feel pretty fit if nothing else
I'm mostly back on track now, I'm eating quite healthily but the financial situation is dictating a lot of what I eat at the moment  OH has now been on the sick for a month and his SB STILL hasn't come through:mad: and the antiD's don't seem to be having much effect *sigh*
Ex OH is making slow but steady progress, he came out of sedation after 3 weeks:eek: but is very poorly still.
I've been swimming this morning, brekkie was rice milk soaked oats with apricots, dates and almonds.
Lunch is an avocado and beetroot sandwich on rye bread with fruit for after.
Tea will be decided when I get in......
Welcome to all the newbies, well done the losers and STSers :beer:0 -
Mornin' :hello:
Well I'm a newbie here and hope to sort out a problem I've had for about 10 years, namely too much weight and not enough money! I've sorted my path with regards to my finances (thanks to my MSE friends!!:D) so now the weight has to go
I need to loose 5 stone:eek: . It took years to go on so isn't going to go overnight I know, but I am determined to loose it for good.
I suffer from tension headaches and this doesn't help my mood or exercise plan. Some days are better than others.
I don't want to follow a 'diet' club (WW, SW etc...) but change things by eating healthily and get fitter.
I weighed in yesterday so I'm on my way:D
breakfast - muesli with skimmed milk - yum!
lunch - ham sandwich + banana
dinner - tuna salad + jacket potato
snacks - grapes/satsuma.0 -
Morning all,
This morning I have eaten:
Half baguette with blackberry and apple jam, orange juice, coffee;
Dinner will be fish and steamed potatoes, peas, water.
Will have fruit for snacks and if I am really hungry something like hm soup...if I get round to making it!
Welcome to puss14 and moneypooh.
Congratulations to the losers
Have a good day
