Hi All,
Just a quickie while I wait for the kettleWell done to those doing well :T
I have discovered the secret to Weight Loss ~ Get a new job! It's SO stressfull and there is SO MUCH to think about that I haven't got the time/energy/inclination/or room left in my brain to think about food! I must have lost STONES in nervous energy.
The school is in an area that is in the top 2% for deprivation. A large, ney very large proportion of the children have behavioural issues. It's gonna be tough. I am still worrying that I've made the biggest mistake of my life but we'll see.
But, I haven't thought about food all week..................................................Say it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

Congrats to nikki:T for hitting the 10 stone somethings, and rambler:T for having a brilliant August..... well done, keep it up!
Happy to report I've still got my positive head on:Aand apart from a mini slip up when birthday cakes arrived in work yesterday I've been a good girl.... even braved the swimming pool on Tuesday for the first time in weeks and weeks!
I've been really lucky not to gain the past couple of weeks so this week is like a new start for me and hopefully with a bit of effort the scales should start moving in a downward direction again. Getting very close to my target now.....just been looking at the excel spreadsheet I've kept since joining you lovely lot at the end of Feb and I've lost 17.5lb:j That's actually less than a pound a week on average, I've had good weeks, bad weeks and more STS's than you can shake a stick at, but it's all added up and I'm nearly there.... THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!
Good luck to all the Friday weighers!0 -
Hi all, I'm going through a bit of financial problems as posted elsewhere but I don't want to get into that, this board is too fun!
Me and my Ma seem to go through the GDP of Denmark each week on food. We love our food and it shows by our waistlines! What I'm wanting to know is how much we could realistically cut down to per week for food. We like most things (well I'd eat anything but my mum isn't a rice/pasta nut like I am) but I just can't bear baked beans
So I'm really looking for cheap meals that both me and m bland loving Mum would like that'll be mutually beneficial to our purses and waistlines.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Oh and a random question, but what is the best way to boil an egg?I always seem to make it too hard.

Place the egg in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring to the boil and wait 3 minutes for the perfect soft boiled egg and 7 minutes for a hard one.If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0

D....Spaghetti bolognese, naan bread ( freezer needs emptying!) coffee;
Sn...apple.
Very tired these days, don't feel that weigh in will go too well tomorrow...we'll see.
Sleep well

Hi Kochanski,
This thread should help with your question about boiling eggs:
how do you boil the perfect egg?
We have an Old Style weight loss thread that should help with moneysaving and recipes that are good for your waistline so I'll add your thread to it to see if you can get some more replies.
