    Have people stopped posting for a reason or is it the back to school, work or catch up after the holidays time of year...lots of people MIA, not happy about it...not happy about my eating either but that is my own fault...am blaming having 3 1/2 year old DGS all week while her parents are tying up loose ends in Holland, but TBH it is just me, nobody else.

    To-day I have eaten:

    B...1 weetabix, banana, milk, cup tea;
    L...2 slices bread and jam, 1oz cheese;
    D...battered cod, chips, salad, 2 glasses water;
    Snacks...4 squares fruit and nut chocolate, pear, grapes.

    Sleep well all

    Hey guys, well I managed my august target which was NOT TO HAVE ANY BINGE DAYS - AND I SUCCEEDED!!!!

    My september target is the same - just no binge days - so no eating over 2134 kcals. Some might think of that's easy, but not for me... In the past i've eaten well over 4000 kcals - scary stuff.... That being said if I do binge - its not the end of the world.
    I'll just tackle each day as it comes...so today i ate

    b - 3 wheetabix and milk
    s - jelly
    l - tomato soup and 1 bread and turkey
    s - jelly
    d - fresh pea soup and 1 bread and turkey

    tomorrow

    b - 2 toast and tuna
    s - jelly
    l - fresh pea soup and 1 bread and turkey
    s - yogout and frozen fruit
    d - depends on a couple of factors -either lunch again or something in the oven.......
    s - jelly

    Hope everyone else keeps positive...thinking of you all

    I've got to cut costs major style, so enforced portion control from here on in. Teamed with packed lunches (I start a training course next week for 16+ hours a week) and plenty more exercise (Ex moved out 6 months ago and took the car as I don't drive so its now walking or public transport which I can rarely afford now I've got to reign in the finances even more).

    There's only me and DD (7-years) and I have no idea what sized portions I should be giving her. Food has always been a case of "well it looks like there's enough for X people", dish it up and it was always too much, usually leftovers go in the fridge. DD has a huge appetite so would it be wrong of me to give her adult sized portions? :confused:

    Morning all!

    Well done to Saversarn and Rambler on your respective acheivments :T

    Taplady what a wonderful thing to do so well for Woman of the Year, hearty congratulations :T

    Well last night it wasn't so much as a visit from the toad that makes me eat carp but the little pixie that emptys my belly far too quickly so I am constantly starving. I ate my roast chicken and veg dinner, was still hungry so ate my Malteasers (budgeted snack) then started shuffling through the cupboards so decided to make apple jelly to keep me occupied. This worked until I put the apples in the jelly bag to drain and my stomach started rolling again so I had 2 wholemeal toast with marmalade (no butter) and that seemed to do the trick.

    Well I shall be busy in work today but there is a function on so I'm not quite sure how I am going to heat up my soup when the room is in use all day. I have my emergency rice cakes and laughing cow triangles just in case:o

    B: Porridge with water and skimmed milk
    L: HM veg soup and an apple (or rice cakes, cheese spread and an apple)
    D: Not sure yet, OH's making it

    Have a great day all

  • Hi :j

    WI today Lost 1lb :j I'm not 11st something anymore, I'm 10st 13 woohoo!! :D

    I've lost a whole stone :) since I started this 3 months ago. I'm so chuffed. I dont think the amount I've eaten has changed significantly. All I've changed is cutting out excessive snacking in the evenings, weighing out my cereal and eating our evening meal at 5 with DS instead of at 8.
    My target for August was to lose 3lbs and I achieved that :A So my target for September is the same - lose 3lbs.

    Food today
    B: rice crispies L: toast D: spicy bean & sweet potato stew S: fruit/yog

    Well done Taplady :T for sts & being runner up & well done Rambler :T for resisting for a whole month :)

    Nicki I think your DDs portion sizes should depend on her weight and activity levels. If shes average weight from eating larger portions then they are right for her, but if her weight's a bit too high then she will need smaller portions. :confused: It can be really hard when they have a big appetite. My DS is two but he eats nearly the same size meals as me! and is always asking for food. He hasnt got really skinny like a lot of toddlers do when they reach that age and start running around a lot more so I am trying to not overfeed him but it is hard to know what is the right size portion for a little person. So I'm just going by his weight and trying to adjust it (reduce it) a bit. HTH :confused:

    Angelnikki!
    well done on the weight loss:T :T :T and its great isn't it to break a stone barrier and be 10 stone something - when I did that i vowed never to be 11 stone something again and so far I've been at my target give or take a pound or 2 since February, I did make it to 9 stone something which felt even better but I found it impossible to maintain and seem to have settled at just over 10 stone which for my height of 5ft 7 isn't bad.
