Wednesday Wishes- those frightening kids rooms and spare rooms
    Level One
Clear away anything that isn't in it's place, clothes, toys, books etc
[STRIKE]Make an appointment for some ME-time.. hairdressers? manicure? night out with friends? .. whatever just do it! [/STRIKE]
I'm very good at this one! Have made appts for the hairdresser and the chiripodist (sp?). Need to book tickets for the Edinburgh Festival for next week.

    Level Two
    Vacuum the floor
Dusting.. all those shelves and flat fluffy surfaces!! Don’t forget the light shade and curtain pole!!!
Strip beds, turn and vacuum mattresses!! and replace with fresh linen .. check if duvets need freshening up too!!
    Level Three
    Clean 2 windows
Sort through a cupboard/chest of drawers and get the clothes out which are no longer wearable, too small or out of season!
Wipe any sticky marks off walls and doors
    Extra Task List

    Find 5 things to ebay/freecycle
Wipe the radiators, skirtings and window & door frames!
    HHI
Mid week fling!! grab a binbag and fill it with stuff to leave the house.. rubbish or charity shop or to donate to a friend!
OK, I've made a start :p I'll head upstairs to do DDs spare room at mums (if that makes sense lol). It is the messiest room in the house *sighs* Oh well, it'll keep me out of mischief :D

Tia - that dream had me crying with laughter. Apparently I've twice sat up at night and said 'don't tell pigpen i've not changed the duvet cover!':rotfl: :rotfl: I can't believe i've admitted to that!! :D xx

Thanks for that - so your sense of humour's intact!:D

I would echo the 'go to hospital' advice but what I'd do - since you've put up with it since yesterday is ring A & E and ask tham how busy/waiting time etc. Explain problem with kids - worth a try! Some hospitals have 'walk in centres' apparently for GP type emergencies. Does yours.
(MInd you I was sent to one last year with an injured child and it didn't exist.)
So Tia - where's the house with the shoes?

I was going to update my list because I've strayed, relented and thoroughly cleaned DS's room including (wait for it Pigpen) curtain track, light shade and coving (dewebbed) and mopped radiator and all skirting I could reach. This is justified because later in the summer this is the room I intend to decorate so it's pre decorating preparation. I also wiped out the hat/gloves and scarf drawer, ready for newly washed stuff to go back in.

    My bedroom - a mess.

I was ruminating on why this post is so long and I think (but correct me if I'm wrong) :A a big part of it would be that cleaning and housework only gets noticed when it isn't done. I recall an incident where EH complained a window was dirty. I handed him the spray and cloths and told him if it bothered him that much he'd better clean it. (No wonder I'm single LOL;) ).Well, if we slave for hours in this heat, washing, drying, ironing, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, gardening, wiping dirty bottoms, hands, mouths, cooking...
WE WANT RECOGNITION. So we post what we've done. We mutually support, praise and care. We feel better. Cos the ingrates we live with rarely thank us:mad: .

HHC went quite well and went on a bit.

    Waitrose delivery been

DS2 helped with some of the list for pocket money - he has now gone to play pitch and putt. I think I'm a bit too stingey with the money. He is 12 and can earn 50p a day doing jobs (£1 today for double as he was not here yesterday) so £3.50 a week - they don't get any other cash but most things I buy or pay for. Well I have said he has to pay for the P&P out of his money - he is fine and did not moan but it is £3 so a full weeks money - should I up the rate? DS1 is 14 so earns £1 a day for jobs (he is less keen so does less days) I have just started putting £12 a month in his bank account which was his footie subs but now he has stopped he has the money for golf which he pays for.

Do you remember when I hit my finger with a mallet in the spring? It sounds just like yours, really hurt and went black. I didn't go and it took about 10 days to stop hurting but was fine in the end

Floors will be dry now so quick list update to follow.

DH wants me to come up with a joke for this:

What's the difference between Dwain Chambers and sun cream?

Dusty I reckon that if DS2 actually does the jobs, he should be on the rate of £1 per day, and cut the other son's rate.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

I'd agree with sexymouse Dusty - your younger son has to work twice as hard for the same money - pay him well and keep him in the working habit!

Hope you don't mind my input;)

So last night I dreamt that we did win a small amount and bought a nice 4 bedroom house that needed some work. There were stairs at one end that were on a curve (as the house had a round bit at the end) and the stars were quite dodgy to walk down and only led to a door and a weird bathroom that scared me cos on the wall Pigpens wobbly eyes were wobbling about!!!!. One day I decided to have a think about getting them replaced and I found another 3 rooms! One was set up like a cinema with loads of really expensive shoes in boxes that must have been forgotten by the previous owners, and the ladies shoes were my size! The second had 4 spa baths! And the third was like a guest bedroom. Rather than being all happy that I had some new rooms, I was angry that they all had to be cleaned!!! FLYlady is invading my dreams!! .

And then you woke up and it was 4am and you were even more unhappy!!
