Thanks so much for all your input. Decision made. DS2 now gets £1 a day for jobs (he is thrilled).
DS1 in a right stroppy mood - the money thing with him would be quite a long post but basically he gets a fair bit on his birthday from relies etc and just dips into it - that will be stopping as all his back birthday money I have moved out of his account so that he starts to realise the value of money. He got a statement the other day and saw the cash withdrawals on paper and had a bit of a wake up call that there is very little left.
Whoever asked - golf he has membership for a year (he paid out of his savings) so can play for 'free' driving range he buys buckets of balls on a card which he has to load out of the £12.
Enough of my kids a HHC for me indoors as it is too hot outside. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Right, I cleaned the OVEN!!!:T
Never done it before. Used MR Muscle, it foamed up really prettily then went all brown and skanky, cleaned it off and now have a nice shiny oven. Only thing is I think it may be self cleaning as it's all sparkly, hope I haven't damaged it but if it is it wasn't doing a good job as it's filthy!!
Also I have put a bag of toys and a car seat on freecycle.
Really want to wash up as I've used everything in the house, repair man fixed my light switch and said Lampons would send a plumber round before 6pm. Which is kids bedtime so hope he's early, they need a bath!!
Only problem is he will need to get into the dumping ground (loft) as for some stupid reason that's where the boiler is. So I will have to get up there without the kids following me and sort it out so that the boiler is accessible. OH won't be until later, he actually has a full(ish) week of work so I can't complain.
Still on my list of things to do- Dust kids room
- Wipe off windowsill
- Clear out a kitchen cupboard
- Bring washing in and put it away

Oh dear another day half gone but where. I have done very little that is constructive. Dropped DD off at the Discovery Centre and then rushed off to Matalan to get her trainers so she could do a 'street dance' session. Rushed back to the centre with them before they started. Came home and spent an hour or so chatting with OH about DD and me staying on in France after Eurodisney and him joining us to then visit one of his work colleagues (and my ex-colleagues) who has a house in France. Been for a wander to the cashpoint and nipped into Aldi for a few bits. And thats it - oh apart form catch up on here which has taken the best part of an hour :rotfl: .
Think I best go and update the finances as there was very little in my purse earlier adn I'd been doing so well  .
See ya in a bitMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -

It is now 2.18 and I have done nothing today - well one half hearted HHC (or a HHHHC)
and a trip to Mr T's.
I have just had a call from my partners brother who lives 1hr 1/2 away and wants me to go pick up tickets for the football tonight so off to do that now before the traffic builds up in the city centre. So I am now guessing it is going to be about 4.30 before I can get stuck in today *sigh*so frustrating!
I miss using my infinite coupons at Tesco!
2010 was the worst year ever
But 2011 so far has been a lot of fun! :j
