Pigpen - we get two or three a day. Most are fine and just leave when you say no. I think this one realised I couldn't go anywhere so he carried on trying to sell! Right, must do tea xx
Then you should have kicked him in the bollockies and shut the door lolLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Pigpen, hope he gets over it soon, good that he is a smaller dog, they usually get over these problems sooner than larger dogs.
Madbath, sounds painful, I'd have taken it our on the salesman. We usually say 'oh, were getting evicted next week *sniff-ggrarrr-wheet-junky-pose-with-hunched-shoulders* always works! :rotfl:
Actually... it's only if we cut our grass that we get salesfolk... been waiting AGES for a driveway salesperson to come round (I mean, come on, with grass 6 foot high we would be a serius possibility for a driveway, oh and the 2 cars maybe???), but sadly, only kitchen folk.... I don't want a new kitchen...yet.... I want a drive.
OK, better feed the brats, S&S kitchen and tidy up living room.... hmmm.. brats can be banished upstairs me thinks.
Her other woof that had the same took 3 weeks to get mobile but this one isn't anywhere as severe.
Maybe you should have a note that says 'unless you are selling driveways bog off!!'LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Thank you RMC. If I dont get this job, then I'll go back to my previous job. I'll start off part time (getting paid full time, hurrah!) and take things very slowly. When do you start your new job?0 -

I get rid of callers/phone sales (windows etc) by telling 'em I rent (I don't).
And they never want to sell me a timeshare because I am single and partnerless - sad, isn't it!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Start next Thurs. -Gently does it!
I tried that return to work with NHS and after two weeks phased return, ended up in hosp the following Monday - taken out of work by ambulance - very embarassing but was in bad way (turned out to be not major, but really thought I was dying) So after that (7 weeks ago) manager was 'charming'. Went in 2 weeks ago and said my sick line runs out in 10 days and then I am on holiday for 2 weeks and then I am gonners...........his response 'well as long as you are sure I did all I could to support you............' (thinking he is worried I am going to claim against Trust)
So now I am out of NHS, which means carp terms, (sick pay) but I am still glad..cant be doing with all those bureaucraps!LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.

'undiverse' SSL? Blimey, I used to sit at board level for a division of a major construction company, and once got asked if I had the painters in when I vetoed one of their less people friendly (aka immoral, illegal) suggestions. Are you by any chance working in the public sector? If so I guess they are still faking the paperwork! Fingers crossed for you anyway.
RMC - I do fell sorry for NHS Managers and their HR people. It would kill me, not very good at rule books. I just try and treat people how i would like to be treated in the same circumstances.
I have re-read my earlier post and would like to stress that I miss that cat very much. I was moving into rented, and worked away a lot so I couldnt take him with me. I even paid catimony for a couple of years. The only time I cried during the whole breakup was when the cat got in my suitcase and wouldn't get out (incidentally covering all my nicely ironed clothes in ginger hair).
I have fed the children, DH is going to be late. I still havent hoovered so better crack on with that and feeding the cats, dogs, chickens and fish.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0
