Just been invited in for a cup of tea with gingernut biscuits with the elderly neighbour we took out at the weekend which was really nice. :) We sat there and put the world to rights again, and I've only just got in again. I told her all about this thread, and she thought it sounded wonderful, as we are all such a community. She said she's not very technical at nearly 84, so would never understand how to use a computer, but that her son uses his all the time. Bless her!

We're off the MIL's for dinner tonight, and the neighbour asked if I was looking forward to moving nextdoor to her in October. I told her yes and no, cos I'm looking forward to having a garden and more space, but not sure how it'll be living so close to MIL. She indicated that she (MIL) had been saying stuff about me to her a while ago when she'd been asked to look after the cat when we were away, but that she (neighbour) hadn't wanted to get involved, so I now feel uncomfortable seeing MIL. Wonder what she said. Don't think MIL likes the fact that I tell her son what to do sometimes and complain about his junk cluttering up the place. Also, I don't get on with her golden-boy (BIL) as he's a rude and arrogant spoilt brat (36).

Anyway, rant over. Hope your finger is feeling a little bit better Mudbath - can't believe how insensitive some people can be (the salesman).

Well done to those who've been flying all day. I only have a few things left on the list, but cannot find the motivation to do them - 27 fling boogie, clean oven, sweep and mop floor, wash car. It rained last night, so can I be excused the car?

Mudbath - ouch, put it in something cold and keep it there.

Mudbath I'm so sorry.... but Dusty made me think of something kinky.....

Hope your finger is better soon!!!!

Sexymouse, living next door to my MIL is my idea of Hell. Actually she has said many times that if she wins the lottery she is having a housing estate built for her and we have all to get houses next door to each other (hubby is one of 3 boys). I said no fluffing way and she said that we would get nothing then, I told her I'd rather live in a squat than live next door to her!!! I hope it works out for you!

So you didn't sugar the pill then, Tia!
One of the advantages being an ex-wife is not having a MIL. Or any of 'em (*ils) in fact! LOL :p

Permission to cry please. Our big, wooden front door has just slammed shut on my little finger tip. It hurt so much but has now gone numb and i'm shaking like a leaf. Pathetic I know. And the stupid man i'd gone and answered the door to carried on trying to sell something to me. Idiot!

I hope you yelled at him and told him to ffff-bog off!!?

Lol tia...only you could think that! The last inch of my finger is now totally black, twice the size of the other one and feels very tight. I've just had another salesman knock at the door and have told him to sod off. DD has now written a note and put it at the window...it says...'do not nock here to sell anything because my mum will get very mad at you and that is scary!!!':rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: xx

Hi everyone and a big Hi to all the newbies - still feel like one myself as its only 2 weeks I have been flying!

Have taken ages to catch up on all the posts and I thought i was doing well until I saw what you have all achieved!!

Tia -:j thats brilliant news about your childcare and college - I envy you - that sounds interesting - i would be doing it to go into forensics - I just love CSI!!!:D

Mudbath - OOOOOh that sounded sore - have you got any arnica gel to stick it in - it really does help - if not something cold.
Hope your Mum's dog keeps improving - I just want to send him a huge (((hug))):D

Pigpen -you will be pleased to hear I have found the bedroom carpet again :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I did what I could on the tuesday list and then decided to do some work in the bomb site. So I have managed to move some of the boxes out to the hall to go to the shed, added more paperwork to the pile on the kitchen table (my main hotspot) and have been putting away clothes so already it is beginning to look better!

Here's what I did on the list today
Tuesday trauma - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level One
    Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
    Level Two
    Sweep and mop floors
Clean the oven.. hasnt been used in months:rotfl: - perfectly clean
    Level Three

Wipe and replace all those small appliances.. kettle, toaster etc
Clean cupboard door fronts and fronts of appliances .. don't forget those kick boards..
Clean out your mankiest kitchen cupboard..
didnt have a manky one - just an untidy one so did that!!

    Extra Mission : help yourself

    1. Run the WM through 'clean cycle'.. hottish wash with a splosh of vinegar, soda crystals bleach.. whatever you fancy just clear those pipes of gunge!
    2. Wipe down any tiles and shine those taps.. a toothbrush is great for cleaning away the gunk!
    3. Empty the bin.. wash it out.. and make it smell SWEET
    Hows that?
    TF xx:D
    Peace will be mine
could do better - must try harder
Live each day as if its your last
