I know I was a bit gobsmacked to say the least. The place was full of kids from the estates IYKWIM and OH not aware of that yet but I saw at least 10 youth workers milling around and I guess it keeps a lot of kids of the streets and under a watchful eye that some wouldn't get off their parents.
Anyway Dining room done, going to quickly hoover the hall way before I have to go and pick her upMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -
Thanks Kazmeister yes, ankle's healed, but it's left me with 'restless legs' when I'm really tired. Ah well, that's life I s'pose.
Loving being back with the Flylady crew!! Getting loads done today. :T
Thanks folks!!!MMSSB Club Founder Member

Tia - congratulations - that is brilliant news. One less thing to fret about.
Kazmeister - that is a great price. We have some very funded stuff here but the boys need to be a lot bigger before they can go. Holiday club is working out at £25 each for 9 - 2.30!
Help please - DS2 is 4 on Saturday. He nappy trained about six months ago but insists on a nappy for solids. He starts school in September so we have been trying to get him off nappies, with the net result that he has dirtied his pants 5 out of the last 7 days - the other two he held on and did it in his bedtime nappy. He doesn't tell you he wants to do it, he just does it. he has done the odd one on the potty. I have tried a chart which hasn't worked at all - and we all have to dance and sing if he does perform. Any ideas? Sorry if this is TMI for those without children!
Housewise I am just home from work and I still have bits of work to do and some prep for tomorrow. I must put the WM on, and hoover before I even look at which room it is today. At least I did the DW this morning.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
Hex, my friends little one was the same. She ended up only letting her wear a nappy when she asked, but she sat her on the toilet. Then she started making her sit on the toilet but let her hold a nappy against her front (IYKWIM), then she would just hold the nappy, then there just had to be a nappy near by. She seemed to need it as a comfort thing but did eventually grow out of it.
Sexymouse, kinda... I'm not really sure myself! It is where biology meets medicine, so can lead onto forensics, medical testing, study of plants and animals and 'other stuff'. It's NC course I'm doing cos I have no idea what I want to do afterwards!0 -

has to be worth a try, thanks!'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
Permission to cry please. Our big, wooden front door has just slammed shut on my little finger tip. It hurt so much but has now gone numb and i'm shaking like a leaf. Pathetic I know. And the stupid man i'd gone and answered the door to carried on trying to sell something to me. Idiot!
Sorry Hex - i'll answer your nappie question in a bit when i'm not being such a woose! xx0 -
Mudbath - ouch, put it in something cold and keep it there.
krokamp - I think it is a place in Germany - not freepost
Been to the library, washing been in and out like nobodies business
Just have 30- minutes and then the swimming run.
My book reservation is finally in so I had a sneaky 15 minutes sitting in the sun reading and drinking tea.
Bonsi and Taurus - long time no post - hope you are both wellThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
And I did!
Ironed.
Done DR - downstairs now looks fab - I hope it's bedrooms tomorrow (I ALWAYS do my bathroom on a Thursday - I don't work Thurs and Fri and I always class that as job 1. I have a son...and lino! 'Nuff said! Then I wash towels Thurs night on a 60deg wash, I also throw in dusters, dishcloth and cleaning cloths. Got 2 mucky dusters already!)
So to you all MASSIVE thanks for the encouragement - I normally don't work so quickly (because I feel I have all the time in the world) and then I never get through my to do list, which always includes work related stuff.
So ...coming up soon...
Type up class list into Excel ready to do book labels for September. And then will have list which will be useful all year)
Look for new trousers for son - 1 pair that fit but have already required repair, two outgrown (in length, so I said he'd have to wait) so I think 2 pairs would be a good idea.
Need to check daughters uniform too.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
