    Afternoon all.

Today is finally cooler here after a thunderstorm overnight :D Still hot, but with a breeze now and much fresher.

Plan for today is to get to the bank and try and sort out the unwanted overdraft increase, see if they can drop my CC limit ;) then go to the library with DD so she can get some new books out and I'll return the one I've read

Best go wash some dishes and open DD's email from ex for her. Will tackle some cleaning when I get back.

    hi gang - i'm back

had an enjoyable but exhausting weekend away. it's taken me till about now to catch up on the thread and feel awake. ;) happy birthday to those who've had one, welcome new flyers, well done anyone flying in this heat, hope the head is better today lil-me, and fingers crossed SSL.

i've moved slowly since getting back.

mon - sis babysat while i picked up the cat from the cattery and did a quick supermarket sweep. i then did lunch for her LO and had an afternoon kip with the boys when she left. my only flying was running hoover round Living room and dining room, and emptying the kitchen bin. i had to throw a rotten lettuce out, and sis washed out the salad drawer for me.

today, dh dropped ds1 at nursery for me, i have:been for a smear test, put cat vaccination certificates away, updated spending diary, checked online banking and paid two cc bills, rescued towels from TD, started organising a bag of towels/bedding/nappies/loo rolls for going away, stain soaked and washed a light load and chucked bleach down the loo. also fed baby for a couple of hours and cut his finger nails. multi tasked and watched my rental dvd while feeding. ;) and shredded part of a pile, but now the shredder needs emptying and i can't do that one handed.

will see what else i can manage before picking ds1 up about 5ish.

Nearly finished the cleaning part of my list - just the bathroom floor and sink to do and then off to the library.

    DS3 swimming later too.

    Not so good this time
    • Fetched one lot washing in off line
    • Hung 2nd lot out
    • Fetched hoover downstairs from DS room and got waylaid in there straightening in and looking for spare house keys while he's out
    • Hoovered kitchen
    • Mopped kitchen floor and dried it
Hi michelle, glad you had a good weekend, you have loads done already
Think we're all flying today, must be the cooler weather after the rain

Having mopped the floor, what does everyone else use. I have tried loads of diff mops. Vileda ones with strips, sponge ones, string ones, Flash ones with nappies, Plain ones you put throwaway cloths on and they all leave my laminate floors smeary. I mostly now get down on my hand and knees and use a wet cloth then dry it off and its becoming a pain as in 13 rooms I only have carpet to hoover in 3 .

Off to do some more methinks as dining room which is the main route through the house is next and is minging.

    Missed the 1.15 - 1.45 challenge so will go 1.30 - 2.00

Kaz - bathroom floor I hand wash with micro cloth and a splash of stardrops
kitchen and hall (quarry) and downstairs loo (ceramic) I use an E-Cloth mop with just hot water. It is easy and does an ok job. Not brilliant if kitchen floor is really dirty but better than all others I have used.

Just checking on line library books to see if I have found them all and then off we go - it has gone very cloudy here and I promised we'd cycle.

Maryland cookies are on offer at Sainsbury's - 2 packs for £1 so I treated myself as I love their choc chip and hazelnut flavour. :jNever buy them usually as they are 76p a packet!

I have abandoned the oven cleaning idea for today, think I will wait until I have someone to help me as I don't fancy bending down for that long. The surfaces in the kitchen all look lovely though and I have scrubbed all the baking trays so they are looking more silver than black for the first time in ages!!
I don't believe and I never did that two wrongs make a right

Well I have been busy this morning.

Sky claims man been (sky cable pulled down two pointing tiles:rolleyes: ...honest...:A )
    Hour ironing
    15mins putting ironing away
    Empty TD
    Put that stuff away
    WM to TD
    HHI (jeezeeees)
Conducted DS1 in the art of room tidying (its still a pit but he did well)

Now we are sitting with an ice cream cone for being so good. :D

Living room and kitchen are not bad so concentrating on upstairs that really needs doing.

Done the kitchen table, Lampons sent man round to look at broken light switch and boiler timer (VERY quick only called this morning) and now I have no hot water because he messed with the timer and told me not to touch it

Think I will anyway, not bathing kids in cold water!

Kazmeister I wash my floors with a cloth, I do own a mop but as my moppable floors measure a few square feet there's no point getting it out!

Off to make another cuppa, have let several go cold already as DS1 (just turned 2) is potty training and keeps bringing me is wee to dispose of, I then get distracted and forget about my Tea.

Aforementioned DS is trying to put a pine/fir cone on his Willy, should I be worried about him?
