Pigpen - what are you doing to us????? I cant cope with this level of change lol

Valli - what I do is use 1/3 stardrops, 1/3 white vinegar and 1/3 water. Pour this into a spray bottle and you're good to go. I use mine everywhere, including windows. I also use it on carpet stains, but please test on a small hidden area if you plan to try this :) Would hate for you to ruin a carpet because of me

foreversomeday - how is the oven going? welcome to the thread :)

I don't really get on with stardrops - just use it for bathroom floor. I use micro cloths and hot water for most things. I love white vinegar - we live in a very hard water area and it disolves limescale like nothing else. I use lemons once squeezed in the dishwasher as a deodorizer. To clean windows I have a spray bottle with approx 1 part vinegar to 10 parts water and a couple of drops of stardrops.

    Evening all!
Busy day today! Still have managed to put away birthday prezzies for DD2, get DS eyes tested and some work and some flying! Must be the heat that's doing it!

Slight mishap this afternoon when smoke was billowing out of the laundry room - I think I may have broken my tumble drier:eek:  I was just finishing off some towels to stop them being as stiff as cardboard! (The joys of living in such a hard water area!)

DH is currently taking said tumble drier to pieces to find the cause of the problem!- Still, should keep him out of mischief!

Am hoping to do a bit more flying tonight - no ironing at the moment - and then chill for a bit later.

    Hugs (gently) for Mudbath!
    Tia - congrats!!
SSL - still sending positive thoughts!

Right - I 'm off - probably sneak back later not having achieved very much!!

I just popped to the nurse at my practise because I know her and finger had gone very, very big. She stuck a needle thing in the nail and in the pad and the blood nearly hit the ceiling. Most impressive. I've to go back tomorrow to get it released again. DD is freaked. DS thinks i'm well cool!!! I'm just happy it doesn't hurt. xx

Well done Mudbath - that was the best thing to do - ooh you are brave - I couldnt have done that!!

I just use stardrops for cleaning and that's it (apart from bleach for my loo). I've not moved up to lemon yet - obviously i'm not keen enough! xx

I hadnt heard of stardrops until I came on here - what is it? Where do you get it? Is it cheaper to use than the branded cleaning solutions?

questions questions - sorry but I am beginning to get into this cleaning lark ! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: ....that'll be right!!!!

    Hi all

I've been lurking here for a while, but didn't think I could aspire to being so organised as I tend to be a bit haphazard , but lately I have been getting SOO fed up with the mess...

Everyone seems so friendly on this thread that I thought I would try giving it a go, starting tonight.

So, since getting in from my full time job and catching up on today's postings I have:-

Tuesday trauma - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level One
    [strike]Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces[/strike]
    Level Two
    [strike]Sweep and mop floors[/strike]
Clean the oven.. now you can't moan it hasn't been on for AGES!!
[strike]Wipe dining table.. (clean table cloth if necessary) [/strike][strike]
    [/strike]Level Three
[strike]Dust any extra furniture in dining area, checking for cobwebs on way round[/strike][strike]
[/strike][strike]Wipe and replace all those small appliances.. kettle, toaster etc [/strike][strike]
[/strike][strike]Clean cupboard door fronts and fronts of appliances[/strike] .. don't forget those kick boards..
Clean out your mankiest kitchen cupboard.. mine is the baking cupboard.. what is yours?

    Extra Mission : help yourself
    1. Run the WM through 'clean cycle'.. hottish wash with a splosh of vinegar, soda crystals bleach.. whatever you fancy just clear those pipes of gunge!
    2. [STRIKE]
    3. Wipe down any tiles and shine those taps.. a toothbrush is great for cleaning away the gunk!
    4. [/STRIKE]
    5. 31 fling boogie..
    6. Have a film fest.. with popcorn and pop!!
    [strike]
Empty the bin.. wash it out.. and make it smell SWEET

    [/strike]

Not bad for a first timer as we have a seperate dining room and utility room, so I've managed all 3:j Helped by the fact we have recently installed a new kitchen, so the cupboards aren't yet manky:T

Thanks Pigpen, this is great, and I'll try my best to keep up!
