Thanks for the voucher Princess Leia, My SIL and I are taking the kids before they go back to / start school. Hopefully we can get a nice photo of all of them together.
mama67, all I can say is WOW! I am so jealous you have 3 freezers. We only have space for one. (Although it is the same size as a standard fridge freezer.)Thanks to all the lovely people on here I have managed to cut my hours down to 2 days a week, allowing me to spend more time with my gorgeous Children. :j0 -

Hi everyone,
ive not been on for ages and ages. i will apologise now for not catching up, i think i would need to read about 40 pages!!
been busy with sister here, students (who are always here), hubby off work, daughter (who swallowed a Euro, 2 hosp trips) (ok now though... hopefully it will appear soon) and 2 sons.... and i want to get pregnant!!!
anyway its great to be back.
hi Mam67... i cant believe what the amount of food etc you have... you have made me feel so much better. hubby moans about 2 freezers and some shelves in the garage. but i think its definately the way to go.. bulk buying when things are on offer. Im feeding 7 everyday at the mo but sometimes as many as 9.
ive just updated my siggy. ive spent £230.88 so far that includes eationg out a couple of times. i will need to add hubbys reciepts for milk etc. i have not yet done the really big shop for this month. so far its been buying as i need. the cuboards and freezers are getting lower and im getting more and more creative for meals, so far so good though.
i was wondering if anyone knows anywhere in the poole/bournemouth area that i could buy cheap spices, lentils etc other than tesco or asda?
hope everyones ok. i often think of you whilst wondering around the supermarkets late at night..... it reminds to to get things like carrot for bulking out meals, vinegar for everything, star drops, oats etc. im amazed at the difference in the type of things i buy now compared with a couple of months ago. im totally in love with white vinegar!!
take care karen0 -

He's local to me once a week when I am that side of town for other reasons and take my shopping trolley and fill up. A few weeks ago he gave me 5lbs of grapes and 5lb tomatoes for free after I spent about £14!!
I'll be the one looking coy with expensive tastes for mangoes and avocadosI work nearby so every day when I get off the bus I can see what he has... I then take my lunchtime walk sometimes and grab any bits there that look good. Gutted as today he had some gorgeous long tomatoes??? They looked amazing and when I got there for lunch only the 1 bowl of peppers was left. There were 2 ladies though in front of me with BOXES that they were loading up with bits and bobs, he's obviously popular. Last week I got a mammoth box of strawberries for £1 that would have easily been £3 elsewhere. I wish I had found him sooner - must have been half asleep when I got off the bus before... and not as MSE focused! :rotfl:

The "long tomatoes" were they sort of plum like but longer and squarer? great description eh:rotfl:
Like the one at the bottom of this link

If so -im growing some of those and would happily save you some seeds if you have the urge/space to have a go at growing your own next year
I have a tomato fetish...growing 10 different varieties this year -30 plants -with more planned next year too

Sorry to be a pain but could you put the link up again Eager Learner. I'm getting better at the shopping budget but the rest of my money seems to be running out quicker than I would like it to :eek:It's up to me now and nobody else.0 -

I ask cos I always have intentions on doing an order but I'd have to pay for it on pay day and by the time that comes I think I might as well go there instead, if you get what I mean
Your money is taken from you on the day of delivery not on the day of he order. You may change/cancel your order until 5pm the day before its due to arrive. So you go through checkout but the money isnt actually claimed by them then. It saves them refunding you and recharging you if you alter your order. So you could fit it around payday-have delivery 2 days after to play safe.Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0 -
