A question if I may?....I did a list of sorts, using mysupermarket.co as a guide cuz I didn't want to spend too much more than £30 to qualify for the £5 moc. But as I went around the store, a good few of the prices were higher than given by mysupermarket--does anyone else find that?

Also, our Wilkies haven't reduced the price of their seeds & the Wollworths around here have none at all  It's times like this I so dearly wished I lived somewhere else:o Spending has been a bit scary but we should be OK for till least the weekend when I'll need tatties.

I've got a bottle of Stardrops to do the bathroom floors, bits to put together for a birthday 'survival kit' & some more salad seeds+a weenie greenhouse to fit over the growbags...£3 in Woolies:p Keep your fingers X for me wikkle plants this time please:p

trying to have an eat up and say money for treats for boys in the hols, we went to a chiense buffett restaurant this week, paid for out of left over GC money. Sorry I never could spell!

Got a roast chicken, pots and a sweet pot in remoska for tea, amzing how well we are eating on so little.
Is the Remoska really as good as the Lakeland catalogue makes out  It makes me want to buy one but I find it hard to believe that something can cook a pizza/roast a chicken etc etc So I would be interested to hear a real persons point of view ;)

    Hi Princess Leia

I told my mum about the remoska..I have wanted one for a couple of years ..then spurred on by a thread on here decided i WAS having one (hubby is getting it for xmas -after much badgering ).. My mum has orderd one and had it a week and is in love :T Her oven hasn't been on yet since she had it..her and my brother love it..and it is very low on the electric..brother being an ex electritian worked out that to cook their whole meal the other day was the equivalent of running a 100w light bulb for 1 hr..Thats using the medium one..the Grande one will use a bit more;)

Im just waiting to order mine -even though its for xmas:D

lol, well as we have all the general stuff and can't really get any more appliances (wait til i see how many vouchers we get given if i say that still, *wants a remoska*) we decided to ask for vouchers for three different stores so we can get what we need, that and i'm quite fussy on household stuff ('cept for cheap toasters ;) ) that OH and I, ok I, decided it would be more sensible to get the [STRIKE]donations[/STRIKE] gifts this way instead, am happy that our friends are coming tho, thats more important.
we found out last week that a close friend of MIL2b, who was coming to the wedding, died and her funeral is next wednesday, and as i'm in full flow for the wedding i have things i can't (wish i could tho) change to go to her funeral, but MIL2b doesn't think she's going to go either as doesn't think she could cope with it.

managed to wreck my nsd, had to pop to lidl for my mum and get fabric softner and lots of the 20p lemonade for the wedding pimms :D:D:D and as my mum gave me £20 i only spent £1.45. then went to MrS and spent £10.70, but as Oh got two reduced pairs of simpsons pants and some socks for our honeymoon i'm calling it £5.20.
not too bad for 2x cravendale 2ltr @99p each offer instead of being £1.56 each custard powder, crumpets and basics sausage rolls.

right off to do the dishes and start writing my clothes list for h-moon

  • is anyone heregoing to Chessington World of Adventures over the holidays? As we bought 5 pack of vouchers for the on ride photos and didn't use them all! So I have one voucher left which gives you a photo/magnet/keyring from an on ride photo/sealife entrance!
So if anyone is going and wants the voucher, just send me a PM and I will post it out to you! (I have tried to freecycle it but its not allowed as its not going to landfill )
    EDIT - Voucher gone now!

More on topic, I really want a Remoska now :rotfl: maybe once I have opened my sealed pot in Decenber I will treat myself if I have enough in there :D

tesco delivery on wednesday saved £15 on Bogof + £6 voucher so total spend £46.
had takeout tonight to celebrate house sale going through (but I reckon thats entertainment budget not groceries)
DH spent about £10 in local shop before I had a word about only buying what we need.
Had a long discussion and agreed to try and use up the store cupboard and freezer over the next 2 months.

we have SOOOO much dry food stocks! So I only really want to buy fresh stuff for at least this month.

Also we're gearing up for a big increase in our mortgage so we need to start cutting back.
