Read the terms and conditions- you have to cancel BEFORE the changes take effect.
You have to prove (based on YOUR previous usage) that your 'call or other usage charges' will increase by more than 10%
Their contract states this- just quote it back to thembaldly going on...0 -
Hi all, this is my first post on here but after reading a few of the posts I thought I should get involved. I am furious with Vodafone, I wrote them a letter on the 5th of August stating I wanted to cancel because of the change to t&c’s, to which I never got a response. Around the 10th I started calling 191 and speaking to people. It’s the same every time, let me put you on hold, they find the letter, try to talk me out of it, put me on hold again, then say they’ll call me back. No one ever does, I’ve had this 4 or 5 times now and have spent over 2 hours on hold!. Eventually a day or two ago I got through to someone with enough balls to give me a straight answer. I’ve now written to Vodafone to request a copy of the tape because I am seriously considering taking this further, on the call he said that basically as long as Vodafone don’t increase the monthly tariff they can do whatever the hell they like to any calls outside your bundled minutes, this is because they are essentially an “optional extra” and we don’t have to call those numbers!. His second gem was along the lines of agreeing when I suggested they could raise the price of their 0870 numbers to £1000 per minute and I’d still have no right to cancel. I’ve hit a brick wall to be honest. I keep stressing that the t&c’s are in black and white and should not be open to interpretation. As far as I can see it doesn’t differentiate between a call charge and the monthly tariff?. It looks to me like any call charge but Vodafone will not have it. Anyone else have any views on this0
