Vodafone change T&C's (Call charges) - Possible contract get-out??

Vodafone have shafted me. After 5 hours on the phone they tell me because I was away internationally in August and my bill came to £440 (mostly due to data usage abroad) the 10% rule was not applied because overall it did not increase my bill, dispite being told in August that this would be taken into consideration and left out of any calculation by them. I was also told by Alison on the disconnections team that Vodafone could charge whatever they wanted for calls reguardless of the 10% rule. What an absolute joke :mad:0

Only found out about this a few days ago whilst searching here for something completely different!
Had no notice, so didn't know, have sent a letter, whats my chances?0 -

Well, it can't hurt. My unpackaged call charges have risen considerably in the last 2 months, so I've just fired off an email to Voda to see where I stand.

Thats what I thought, worst they can do is tell me to go jump, which is a favour I'll gladly return come renewal time!
Still not heard a peep yet, will start to chase tomorrow I think.0 -
Sorry to bring this back up
Vodafone and some if not all the other service providers changed their terms and conditions regarding WAP/download useage earlier this year. I wasn't happy and stopped using my phone and sold it. I rang them and told them I wasn't happy and to cancel my contract, obviously they didn't. I refused to pay them as they as far as I was aware couldnt change my contract.
I have now got a letter from a solicitor about this asking for over 400quid!
Anything I can do about this?0 -

It may help to start a new thread not revice a 2 year old one. Your changes seem to be different to the ones in this thread.
However if you said you wanted to cancel and they said no, then you simply cannot cease to use it. Your contract makes you liable for a minimum terms regardless of use.
When you called did they agree to cancel and did you put it in writing to them?
However please put it in a new thread rather than continue this one as it's not relevelent.0
