People who moan about putting kids in trollies!

I think DD has a point.
Yes, I'm sure we did go to the shops but we'd never dare be like the kids are today.
Not everyone wants to a) shop at tescos or b) shop at a stupid hour of the day.
My husband and I work all week and Saturday morning so only have a short time in which to get it done.0 -
what is the world coming to eeh?
kids allowed to go to the supermarkets, in and out of trolleys and making a noise
it's about time they were taken off us at birth and put into government run institutions where they could be force fed their 5 helpings of fruit and veg a day and not allowed out until they were in full-time employment contributing tax and national insurance
of course they wouldn't be able to moan about kids cos all the ones younger than them would still be locked up so they'd have to find some other generation to moan about instead ::)
:P

I think the "kids" debate is a bit like the smoking or hunting one.
Both sides feel very strongly.
Those who dont yet have kids (myself included!) get p****d off with people who let their kids run rings around them
Those that do have kids know how hard it is to look after them and discpline them
Just trying to see both sides.

A true story
once upon a time i was a single working girl in my 20s i earned enough to buy a house on my own and did so.
Meanwhile all my friends were getting married and having kids- kids that were loud and misbehaved and generally drove me to distraction - frequently i moaned about them. There they were when i shopped, and when i was waiting in the dentists or doctors, making lots of noise and being a nuisance not just offspring of my friends but other peoples kids also. One of them a friends daughter was extremely loud and boisterous
Years went past i remained single and childless my friends kept on reproducing ne day this friend, mother of this boisterous child introduced me to her older brother, we dated eventually we married so i became aunt to this loud noisy child.
Then i discovered i was pregnant but God or fate or gremlins had been listening to my complaining over the years.I became pregnant and in time had my own baby and guess what it was as loud and as boisterous as anyone elses.
So to sum up once i once single and childless and used to moan about other peoples kids then i aquired my own.
Given the choice between shopping listening to other peoples kids or shopping with kids the first is far better beleive me :-*0 -

Excerpt from Collumpsters 'Are you ready to have kids?' thread in MSA ;D
Find a couple who are already parents and berate them about their methods of discipline, lack of patience, appallingly low tolerance levels and how they have allowed their children to run wild.
Suggest ways in which they might improve their child's sleeping habits, toilet training, table manners and overall behaviour.
Enjoy it. It will be the last time in your life that you will have all the answers.
