People who moan about putting kids in trollies!

I really think its the awkward few that whinge about the dirty feet in trolleys, after all the shopping is in bags as Travelchick mentions. There the ones that should be gaged and caged on entry and never released ;D0
-
they should shop at 3 in the morning to get less distressed perhaps. ;D0

Let's face it...a trolley is a cage with no roof....
If they made lids for the trolleys we could put our kids in, pop the lid on, park them all at the door, get another trolley for our shopping and hey presto...problem solved ;D
Maybe those trolley lock-ups that some supermarket cafes provide could be utelisedJust run, run and keep on running!0 -

When I worked in the Foodhall at M&S, we were told that if we saw a child in the main part of a trolley, to ask the adult that they were with to take them out immediately as it was such a safety hazard.
I have witnessed a few children fall out of supermarket trollies, and believe me, they are very unstable places to put a child. They tip over onto their sides very easily and the child usually ends up banging their head on the hard supermarket floor.
On a similar vein, I can't bear to look when I see people (especially at this time of year) pushing buggies with LOADS of bags of shopping hanging from the handles, which inevitabley leads to the buggy tipping back when the weight outweighs that of the child inside the buggy.
I seriously doubt the wisdom and sanity of some parents.0 -

I find it very difficult to imagine a supermarket trolley tipping over, it's hard enough pushing the bl00dy things!
The point that many of us have made on here is that if your child sits quietly in the trolley and keeps his/her fingers in then can it be any more dangerous than them walking around a busy supermarket?Just run, run and keep on running!0 -

If you had worked full time in a supermarket, like I did for a few years, you would see an average of a couple of kids falling out and injuring themselves every week. You would soon change your mind about it - I've yet to see a parent do it twice.
If you had the time or the inclination, I'm sure that you would see that most supermarkets these days have notices regarding child safety in the trollies and ask you to only use the seats provided appropriate to your child's age.0
