People who moan about putting kids in trollies!

So hate to show that one of us is just being ridicules here however if you insist :-/
unless you live in sterile bags and wear protective gloves then your not protected. :-[
I am quite happy for you to carry on being 'ridicules', I would not be so rude as to tell you otherwise.
We do not need to be protected from germs as very few are dangerous, and in fact we need them to live so if we were sterile we would not be protected but dead.
The ones that are dangerous however mostly live in the bowel.
One of the things I was most bothered about if you care to read my original posting properly, is the parasites that live in dog poo.
If a child has poo on their shoes and is sat in a trolly where a blob is rubbed off then another child is sat in same trolly, puts her hand in blob and then rubs her eyes or ingests it, she could pick up Toxacara and suffer permanent blindness. it only needs to be a tiny amount, not what you would really see unless doing a really close inspection.
Likewise if pregnant Mum picks up blob and ingests it, her baby could suffer blindness, brain damage or death.
I also expressed concern at the safety of the children, the sort I have seen with their kids in trollies are the sort who would sue if their darling fell out, they also seem to not be able to get round a circuit of a supermarket without stuffing their faces, thus not washing their hands before eating.
One I saw last week, Kid - Daddy I wanna get out (standing up in trolly, she was about 6, should be old enough to be expected to stay by her fathers side) 'Dad' Siddaun ya C*** >:(
The germs carried in bodily fluids only live for 20 minutes - (save for Hepititis, that needs to be transmitted into the blood stream), so although unpleasant not dangerous.
When I return from shopping I unpack all shopping from mounds of plastic and put it for recycling, then wash my hands, we also wash our hands before eating, quite adequate germ controll actually, but kids in trollies cheese me off for all manor of reasons as explained in my original post/thread.

Sheel!!
Do you have to?!
:-X ;DWaddle you do eh?0 -
If kids have dog poo on their shoes the it's going to be a problem whether they're in a shopping trolley or not. What about walking into assembly at school and then sitting on the floor.
I don't believe that the vast majority of children have dog poo on their shoes, can't sit down in a trolley. behave like hooligans and never wash their hands.Just run, run and keep on running!0 -
I never said it was the vast majority.
I said I didn't like them in trollies for many reasons.
Hygeine, theirs and mine.
Safety, mainly the childrens as they don't have a say.
and others that I can't remember.
Some agreed, some didn't, that's fine as this is a forum, but some were downright rude so I explained as a way of defending myself.Waddle you do eh?0 -

Ok by blob I presume that you mean microscopic particles of poo rather than a steaming turf!!!!! after all I don't think there is a person in the world that would let their child walk around like that?
What if you dropped your money on the floor would you leave it there incise the afor mentioned BLOB? was on the floor? you would then be in the exact same situation? :-/ :-/
Do your children never play on a slide? after all its hands onto the step to climb your more likely to find dog poo in a park that in tescos car park? A child playing in a park rolling on the grass, climbing onto swings act and let face it you cant wash their hands until they get home.
:-/ :-/
With regards to the insult thing
It was simple you made an assumption about my hygiene so I returned the favour if you cant take such comments don't make them :-X
this thread was never about who's got the most mingling kids if it was mine would be somewhere near the top :-[ ::) ::) they are children, who are happiest when playing in mess!
Its about the safety of the kids, I have never called my child and names ESP the C## and would be mortified and make loud rude comments to anyone I heard saying that to a child, Nor would I place my 6 year old in a trolley unless mental/behavioural problems caused me to do so.
I never let my kids eat in the shop as I believe its counter mount to stealing as a child has to learn to pay for something before we use or consume it, yet here you are off on a tangent? we are not here to complain about other peoples parenting skills just defending our right to place our children in a trolley because
A, They are to big for the seat
B, To small to be given free reign on the shop
C, we may have a smaller child in the trolley?
I never started this thread as a reason for people to move onto bigger arguments or to throw "mines better, cleaner or bigger than yours" (comments and before anyone moans I to am guilty of this as well) however I am merely pointing out that all arguments have 2 sides and you have redirected the tread with your first comment in reference to my personal hygiene "It may be good enough for you but its not good enough for me and my family" You have every right to voice your opinion this does not make you better than them merely different, but then you must expect others to make the same assumptions about you.
As you yourself stated "I was merely defending myself" yet until the point you made your first comments you had never been under attack?
So to change this tread back into what it once started off as before we will all end up fighting.
we all have heard the arguments against placing small children in the end of the trolley HOWEVER what's the solution to the problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HOWEVER what's the solution to the problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I still say 'stick 'em in the troller and put a lid on'
OR, what about those 'dog park' things outside? We could all tie them up and leave them outside drinking blue pop.
;DJust run, run and keep on running!0 -
lol @ jay jay. can you still get blue pip, not seen it for years.0
