Back from Bognor! Kaatlady, I've only been a few times - my little sis moved there just over 18 months ago & although her circumstances have changed a lot since then, she decided she wanted to stay. It's a funny little place, reminds me of a smaller slightly quieter Eastbourne in some ways, but there are a huge amount of Polish & Russians there & I gather this causes tensions..... There are some very quaint looking little houses in some of the roads near the town though. She also likes being able to take her DD (3) into Butlins every now & then.

VickyA, have a fabulous holiday - and yes, do share all your deep dark secrets please!!
PenPin, welcome back sounds like you had a great time.
Gingham, that's awful about your poor cat but glad to hear he is home sunbathing again.
((((r.mac & rage in eden)))) too.

My little sis was showing me some pics she had done at a studio in Southampton (doubletake studios) - one of these days where they do your hair & make-up & take loads of pics. she was a bit dubious before she went as although a friend had given her details she wasn't sure what they'd be like - but the photos were lovely :) I'd love some like that too, so I might be planning a trip to Southampton one day, lol! Has anyone else ever had any done there - wondered what other's experiences were??

    Hi Guys!

Got back about 2 hrs ago and feel shattered but had a great time away and the weather was lovely. Only missed 2 days out as I couldnt get out but OH & DD got out which is the main thing. Found an excellent shopping outlet at Portsmouth which was sooooo cheap! Mum gave OH & I £100(she would not take NO for an answer and gave DD £50 too...Mad woman!)so we treated ourselves to a few bits we had been after for a while. OH loved the Oakley outlet (t-shirts £10) and I loved the Le Cruseut (sp) outlet:D ....got some soup bowls which I have liked for a while reduced to £10 for 2 which are normally £35 and have cute lids on them. Probably spent around £150 in total, but on things that we needed mainly...DD got some trainers that she really needed and offered to pay half but had budged them. Visited friends for a few hrs and had dinner round there. Saw the new Batman film and is brilliant! Had a great time away and hate that I am back and facing reality!....nevermind:rolleyes:

It didnt go so well with my mum and she just offered to fund a full-time carer for me which isnt what I wanted. She thinks she can throw money at all problems and they will disappear but with health this isnt possible.

Back in hospital Sunday evening for a couple of days and this SHOULD be my last lot of treatment for this particular problem with repeat tests to follow in a few weeks to make sure all is clear. Am also at Kings later this week, so a busy week at the hospitals...more pin cushioning:eek:

Anyway, I hope all is well as I havent read through the threads.

    Hugs and kisses to all.

    PP
    xx

I got the mixed organic box for £15.95. It's not enough for us so I'm trying the family box next week. It says it's 'typically enough for a family of 4 for a week.' Have ordered eggs and milk from them too. They deliver cold stuff in a cool box with icepacks inside.

Was just about to post on here around 1 o clock when DD(14) announces she has a friend's birthday party on Sunday and needs an outfit and a present!!!!

We have just got back from Leeds with a lovely dress (that she likes!) and a present, gift bag and card.

Shattered now after going round a city centre in all that heat so slurping lots of cold water while tea is cooking.

Hugs to everyone especially the poor cat!

Well, I managed to make the chocolate mousse!:D

Molly Dog has had a lovely run round the nearby field, and a good game with her tennis ball. I get a few funny looks from other dog walkers, sitting on a mobility scooter with a ball chucker in my hand, but who cares? It's Molly's enjoyment that's important.;)

Just hard-boiled a couple of eggs; we'll have a cold dinner tonight, as the weather's so bloomin' hot. I've lots of tomatoes at the moment, as my tomato plants are doing their duty well.

Don't know if I'll get online at the weekend, so have a good one everybody.

Oh, and PP very best of luck with the hospital. Been there, done that, got the chocolate teapot!:o
