Morning :j Just off for the sticky.........
Don't know why I'm up at silly o'clock, but I'm having a pint of water, then back to bed
I have another busy Old Style day. We have friends for supper, so I have:
Hope everyone has a great day, Penny. x
Hi, this is the Daily Thread for xx (add date). This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Morning Penelope.
Sounds like you have a busy day.
Last day at work today and then almost 5 days off. Not back until 5pm Wednesday. That's when I start a week of later cover till 2am every day. I dislike that week, but thankfully it only comes about 2-3 times a year.
I have a lot to catch up on at work today. Then an early finish and hopefully chance to get some carpet for the daughters room.
I finished the glossing yesterday, so we are all set for furnishing and fixings.
Well folks, have a nice dayNO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0 -
Hi PenPen, N9eav and all who follow - just a quickie from me because I'm running late; slept through the alarm!
(((Hugs))) to all and I'll catch up with you all later.
Have a great day!

Morning all, another bad night due to the left arm am fed up with it, will get the op app in August if the right arm is back to normal. DD2 had the results y/day re her arms and she, like me, needs ops on both of them.
She has a low pain threshold and is v worried especially as she is in the early stages of pregnancy.
Lots of OSing today, finally caved in and shopped y/day and bought loads of YS food. Plan to do a chick and leek pie, quiches, veg soup, stuffed chick breasts, scones, and a fruit crumble. BM on now
Will get vinegar/paper and clean windows before the sun gets on them.
Bi-carb the fridge and stardrop the floor.
((((((((((((( HUGS ))))))))))))))) to everyone.0 -
Morning everyone
the weather here is very humid and it looks as if today will be a real scorcher.
I tiptoed down the garden around half four to water the tomatoes in the greenhouse and open the window so that the plants will get some air.
The washing machine is on so that will be ready to hang out later on this afternoon when i get home.
The bm hadn`t finished before i left so i hope that DH remembers to take the loaf out.
Must run and do some w*rk now guys, have a lovely day.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon

Morning everyone,
Another overcast & miserable day over here. Yesterday was the coldest day this winter so far.
I feel it's colder today. Well my *home alone* day didn't quite work out. There is a transport strike on here atm  so DH didn't have to go to work today & doesn't go in on Monday either. It suits him as he's getting some cement & gravel tomorrow to finish off the slab under the house. XDIL got called in to work tonight so DGS arrived after lunch. He's sleeping the night.
He woke up at 8am this morning so I didn't put him down for his arvy nap. I'm hoping by night time he'll be exhausted.
Leftovers tonight and I'll make a pudding shortly.
Smoky Happy Belated birthday to DD & hope you feel better by next week.
Must dash as DGS is calling me. Hugs to those that need them. ByeeeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.

Morning all
Today I must make up for yesterdays lazy day, all I did was strip the beds, wash the bedding, remake the beds & scrub the toilets.
Today I must finish a set of curtains & go shopping.
I've just dropped hubby at the station, his brothers van is on the blink & so he's only had 2 days work this week. Someone offered us a free caravan in Devon this weekend, but we can't afford the petrol, hey ho, it's a long drive anyway just for 1 night away, but a break would have been nice.
Have a good day everyone
Hugs Hester

Good Morning Everyone.
Beth, sorry you've had another bad night, do hope the op can go ahead sooner rather than later. ((HUGS)) to you and your DD.
Neav9 - ouch! That sounds like a rough rota to come!
Beautiful day here, have already taken the dogs for their long walk as it'll be too hot later on in the day.
Our 38th wedding anniversary today -can't believe where the years are going! We were going to go over to Oxborough Hall, but have just checked in an old NT book and it's not open on Fridays! Will need to search for current book, but maybe a trip to Lavenham and lunch there may be on the cards instead.
However, am determined to do something useful on the OS/organisational front every day this holiday so need to get on or I'll be falling down on Day 2!
Hope you all have a good day, and ((HUGS)) to all in need of one.Resolution:

Morning all,
Another beautiful day – I caught the sun yesterday just from going for a walk up the harbour with my friend & her boys. Today I have to go to Bognor to take my 3 year old niece home, but am hoping to be away by 9ish, so I can be home again by early afternoon. So glad I have a car with air-con now J
Betheebee, sorry to hear you have had a rough night – it doesn’t help being so warm & stuffy either as that also makes it harder to sleep. Hope you manage to get a chance to relax at some point today. I will obviously be coming to join you to help eat up some of that food…!!!!
PrincessP – your boys sounds like a handful J I was convinced yesterday was Friday, this week does seem to have gone slowly. I need to get back into meal-planning too as I haven’t done it for ages & I do notice that I spend an awful lot more money when I don’t. :money:
Aussie – it’s really irritating when you think you’ve got a whole day at home alone & someone else hangs around to spoil it, lol!! I’m just arranging to ship my girls out/away for a few days a couple of times in August, so I will be very much looking forward to that.
Hester, I didn’t think from the sound of it you ever had lazy days?! Hope things are settled a bit with BIL and all the family problems.
Happy Birthday Miss Smoky – and also many anniversary congratulations Beemuzed, that’s an impressive number of years  :T
(((((hugs)))))) for all those needing them. Lots of people still MIA from here – anyone know how AnnieBookLover is?
Must catch up properly on yesterday’s thread – but Dorry I hadn’t thought about the Bridget Jones thing; it does sound a bit like that!!! I shall be an eccentric old spinster, living on a canal boat, wrapped up in all sorts of raggedy shawls & a pair of over-sized wellies, with 95 cats…. People will know me as “that mad woman” or something like that…. lol

morning all,
Looks like another scorcher here :T , I had a load of towels out on the line overnight, which are now dry, will get them in before work. I love the fact that you can put stuff out overnight and not worry about the rain.
Off to w**k today till 2.15 and then off till next Wed. DD is staying home alone, and seems to be getting on very well, she is very sensible, and I literally work at the top of our road and can be home within seconds, it is saving me a fortune in petrol, I would normally take her up to my mums each day which is a 15 mile round trip.
BBQ for tea tonight, we have HM burgers, and lamb kebabs, and some sausages, nice bread and salad.
Beth hugs to you and your dd, hope the pain stops soon.
Pixiedust, hope the children are ok xx
Aussie, yesterday was the hottest day of the year so far here
, hope your dgs sleeps tonight xx
Hester shame about the caravan, you could have done with a break xx
Happy Annivarsary to the bemuzed :T :T ( I was one when you got wed
)
Smoky hugs to you and the little ones xx
Hugs to candy xx
Have good days all xx0
