Evening Guys!
Churchmouse-Thanks for the warning, but he's not getting them back:D ...OH will ask him in the morning, but as I do him a plate when I do a roast, Im sure he wont mind. He;s always giving us tomatoes when he has a glut.
HJ-I am pretty sure they are blackberries. When we were away there were loads of people picking them along the roadside. Happy Bithday BTW and glad you had a nice time with your OH.
OH has also dug up a nice size swede, a few carrots and a baby beetroot which need a couple more weeks. We also have a few huge cabbages and the toms are nearly ready. Still loads of carrots left too, so may blanch them and freeze the exess when all ready. OH has done very well this year with minimal effort.
Have also switched to ScottishPower with a fixed rate till October 2009...thanks Martin.
Anyway, I am off to bed. So take care all.

Must just be us in the frozen north who don't get our blackberries till September then.
I'm just planting out my swedes and cabbages and you're harvesting yours already.
Fizzel I haven't a clue about the bicarbHope your hair is ok.
Kaat lady. Never mind the rain. The very good reason you shouldn't be washing your windows is that it's 11 0'clock at night.
Really am going to bed now. xxx0 -

RAGE in EDEN, Why? Why? should you justify the reason you are in hosp??? Tell them to phone your Consultant or back off. Take care.
Well quite considering I work at the largest UK cancer hospital and we're all "touchy feeley tell me your problems" - oh sorry I forgot that's only the people that the 8 new managers in 2 years (between me and my head of department) have suck up to them....:D I will keep thinking that doing a darn good job and being regularly told this by GPs and patients qualifies me for some sort of respect..... silly Rage.... Veggie burger and pint of blackcurrant and lemondae at t'pub then rather too much tiramasu ice cream whilst watching New Tricks (I want to be Brian Lane when I grow up!) and I feel much better....:DBut I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Hi guys,
Oooh! It has been a loooonnng day today. Am I the only one who dreads the holidays with the kiddies? It has been bicker, bicker, bicker with tantrums and cheek thrown in for good measure. As predicted the trip to town was not nice, but I got everything done. LO has been particularly bad today but he is full of my cold and I gather the eldest had him up at 5am (duly warned that I am not amused ) so understandable really.
All of the uniforms are bought :j :j :j and I had to be supported at the till when the amount came up :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Mind you I got them all a winter coat too and treated myself to a DVD. but still.............
The house is sparkling and all of my letters are done and posted. So outstanding jobs to do are the garden, the even bigger pile of ironing, get my spends books up to date and also I have bought a beaded curtain for the kitchen/utility doorway which was too wide and too short - so I have cut it and have enough beads to lenghten it. 5 strands are done - 27 to go.
Tomorrow we are off to sunny Rhyl for a visit to the sealife center, picnic on the beach, a couple of hours in the suncenter and DD has £10 which needs spending. She is also really chuffed by all of your good wishes for her birthday - Thank you.
Haribo - I am really glad you had a good day.
Pen-pin - Gentle hugs to you, I am still working my way through the blackberry jam that Eric made last year and it is delicious.
Gingham - I have three cats and can sympathise, I would be so angry if it happened to one of mine. I echo the others in that I would report it to the police.
Beemuzed - Belated happy anniversary to you both.
Betheebee - enjoy your drink/s, well done on your OS 'achievements'.
I am sorry if I have missed anyone, and very gentle hugs to anyone in need at this time.
Off for another cold one and then bed.
Take care all,
Smoky. xxxxIf you are patient in one moment of anger, you will escape 100 days of sorrow.......Chinese proverb

You know me, I don't like to boast. But I do have hidden talents.
He didn't stay asleep for long though. Kept waking up, asking for Ninny and expected Poppa to vacate the bed  but we didn't back down & kept soothing him. Hopefully next time will be a bit easier and he should know the ropes. Lovely sunshine today so washing fluttering on the line. I'm off to wash my hair and sit out in the sunshine. Sleep well. ByeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0
