Just had a thought......my cats haven't been in all evening, usually they're in and asleep all evening. A neighbour cat - I'm guessing female - has been making that noise they make when on heat. Is it possible my boy-cats are interested, even though they've been spayed?? Or am I just looking for a reason for a normal cat-absence?

ARGH, why do people just INVITE themselves over - I don't mean drop in, which I don't mind, but invite themselves over when I have specifically said 'Can't see you tonight, I want time on my own'. P1$$ off!!!!!!

    Evening all :hello:

Tried to post earlier but the puter crashed. Just wanted to say thanks for all the lovely birthday wishes yesterday and a belated Happy Birthday to Miss Smokey

We had a lovely bbq last night and I felt ok this morning after several bottles of lucozade and half a packet of askit powders. :o
Took the girls to the beach today which was lovely. OS wise I did the usual cleaning and got a few loads of washing on the line. It was 26 degrees here again today and we're all wilting a bit.
OH took me out for my birthday meal to a tiny little seafood place that overlooks the hatbour and we had their special platter consisting of.........wait for it........crab claws, mussels, herring, prawns, scallops, langoustines, crayfish, a dozen oysters and a whole lobster. :D So I'm a bit stuffed. :o Our friends babysat the girls so we had a drink at their house afterwards.

Back to OS ways again tommorrow and need to keep picking the raspberries as the blackbird has discovered them. Also need to weed the veg patch and start moving stuff in readiness for the greenhouse arriving. Will need to get to the butcher tommorrow and try to tackle the ironing.

Hugs to smoky, candygirl and Beth. xxx
R.mac... Hormones are normal missus. Just have a good greet girl. :D (And I'm convinced you're having a girl. ;) )
    Have a fab holiday Vicki.
Sorry the boys are giving you bother fixielust. :p
Good to know you haven't lost the knack for getting boys to bed early Aussie. :D
PennyPincher. Are you SURE they're blacberries?? Lucky you, mine won't be ready for at least 6-8 weeks. I make a few crumbles with mine and jam with the rest. Check out the recipe index. ;)

    Best go to bed.

Well busy day today. Hair colour @ 8.30, then shopping. Home, strimmed grass borders (DH had cut the grass and strimming my job!); ironed washing I did last night, decided if I didn't do something drastic my back pots were going to perish as very dry so had to water huge time. Then watered front pots. Had mussels in white wine, herbs and garlic for tea. Kaat - we get the mussels at Port Seton! Delicious. And then guess what, we now have three wee darlings for 4 sleeps!

They didn't arrive until after 8 so were quite tired but also a bit excitable as on their holidays! DGS3 fine for about half an hour and then totally crumbled. Thought would have trouble but was asleep after a token minute of hysterics! Other two had supper with milk and been a bit trying it on but I am totally igoring them.

Local Air Show on tomorrow so that is the outing. Just need to work out how DGS3 new buggy folds up!!!!!!!!!!

    Love and hugs to all.
