OH has just got up so so much for the peace and quiet. Why he has to put the TV/radio on the minute he gets up is beyond me  . It's boiling here, have been for a run and am trying to cool down before I have a shower. Washing all done, will hang it out in a mo.
HESTER I think you're entitled to be lazy, you deserve it.

Someone has shot my cat with a pellet gun. The pellet is sticking out of his leg. Best laid plans etc...trip to the vet is more important than cleaning grout. I wanted an excuse to get out of the cleaning but not this. It's the second time it's happened to him.
Update: Thanks so much everyone. My cat is doing fine. He's sunbathing in the back yard now seeminly perfectly content. I'll contact the police later. The vet said they'll be interested if there have been several incidents (and that he was lucky it wasn't much worse.)May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0 -

Oh Gingham, that's awful, what a cruel thing to do. I hope your cat will be ok. I get so upset when animals or children get hurt.
Hugs to both of you.x0 -
Good morning everyone :hello:
My end of term was on Wednesday, what a relief! No offence to the children, but after Ofsted coming and my class ready to move onto Year 3 in the Junior school it couldn't come soon enough. I got loads of chocolate - my class know me far too well!!!
I met up with a friend yesterday at a country park that is half way between her house in Luton and mine. There's a great cafe, so we had copious cups of tea whilst putting the world to rights. Oh and spotted a few birds, before having another cuppa!
DH and I head off on our holiday to New Zealand tomorrow, so I'll see you all again in 3 weeks time. However, between now and tomorrow I've got loads of ironing to do, packing and cleaning. I'm going for my haircut in 30 mins, then I've got to pop into town for some last minute bits. Yes, I know that they have shops a) in the airport and b) in New Zealand but still....
It's our 2nd wedding anniversary next Tuesday and we're staying in a lovely looking place. I just hope that it lives up to my expectations!
Must tragically, DH has insisted that "Babbit the Rabbit" gets washed. Babbit is my "old" comforter that my grandma bought for me from a WI market before I was born and has gone all over the world with me. When I went to Australia and visited Melbourne, for example, I had a photo taken with Babbit on Ramsey Street. Hmmm, maybe I shouldn't tell you all my deepest, darkest secrets.........
My stewarding at the town's International (music) Festival last week was great. I got to see some great performers for nothing. Well, the price of my sanity. Some of the stewards (all volunteers) seemed to completely despise selling programmes or showing people to their seats. Bizarre.
Right, I need to get dressed as my hair appointment is in 25mins.
