I know it's Tuesday and the weekend seems a long way off but everyone seems a bit down today, I think we all need a hug
  • I'm not down! I'm happy today. Spoke to tall and interesting today and have a date with him on Saturday. Really looking forward to it. Must try not to get my hopes up too much though. Very dangerous that!

Anyway, hugs for all that aren't happy

Isn't it mad how exciting it seems to go on a date and I think we spoil it by saying we won't get our hopes up

At least when you're single and in debt you don't have to convince an OH to tackle the problem and you can do odd moneysaving things if it suits you.
    Happy chappy

Would be nice to meet a man who would do commitment and say ok so your in shed loads of debt but hey not to worry I will open your letters and help you - not financially just moral support and not judge but like that would ever happen, oh and not to forget, to accept my two kids.

Why shouldnt it happen, you dont take your bills out on a date with you, ultimatley its YOU they are meeting, as you meet THEM, not the bank accounys,....that comes later, in which case a man would offer all the moral support you need, because he wants to.

    Hi all,

Said hello on here near the beginning but been busy reading other threads so hope it is not to late to join in. Much better being on here than reading my hate mail that seems to becoming daily :-(

I have never gone out on my own, never had the courage, think I would look stupid? Most of my friends live away and are not single.

Hi, it's definitely not too late to join in! You sound a bit down at the moment, have one of the dodgy hugs!:grouphug:

As for going out on your own, I didn't really lie the idea until I tried it, but I have done it a few times, and I enjoy it now. If I see someone sat by themselves, I don't think they look stupid, so no reason why anyone should think that about us! I always have something to read though, I would feel at bit awkward just sitting there. Why not give it a go, just for an hour? You might like it!

But if I get my hopes up and it goes badly then it'll hurt all the more...

You have already been out and he obviously liked you or he wouldn't have asked to see you again! So you are right to have your hopes up if he is as keen as he seems, also he may have the exact same worries- he could be sitting at home wondering how you feel about him!
