this thread is doing absolute wonders for my confidence. I honestly felt like the only one in the world without kids/house/husband. I am utterly hopeless at relationships.
A big welcome to deep in debt and Pm2326 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxNevertheless she persisted.0 -
Afternoon all,
No, Buffy, you're definitely not. And your response to my post about the 'single seating' at christmas made me laugh out loud.
Am having a big debt panic day today. Was coming to terms with it and ready to get it sorted but now just feeling sick again.
Just went to do my weekly grocery shopping which I am usually thrifty at, really enjoy as I cook a lot (no ready meals etc) and don't buy silly stuff.
I hated it today. It took me ages, kept putting things back as was worried they were too expensive and came home with some mushrooms, some soya milk and some soap.
Was meant to be going on a friend's hen do this eve and have pulled a sicky and cancelled as really can't afford it and then the wedding in 2 weeks time. Also cancelled a 5 day break to Barcelona (flights were only £19 but cant afford the spends and hotel).
No wonder I am feeling a bit flat...
Still, at least I will be able to wash my hands after my dinner of mushrooms a la milk....0 -
Ive been Single now for a year, I work all week, I dont have any major debts, but its near impossible for me to get a mortgage on just my income. At 38, a single bloke living in a flat doesnt fare well on his chances of finding a partner, most women are either married, settled or happy as they are. It gets chillingly lonely sometimes. Its amazing how I can be in a room full of people, and stilll be the loneliest one in there.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

I am having a denial day big fat denial day in fact. me debt worries? no not me.
I came online to pay bills..... hmmm. still twiddling around.
I do wonder what you are going to make with mushrooms and soya milk. I mean I like both but not together..... your cooking skills are clearly superior to mine.
Ok so you aren't going out tonight what will you be doing instead? at home beauty treatments in front of the telly? selling anything on Ebay? having a rethink of the money situation?
write back hon, its tough and now glancing at Cc bills I too feel a little sick.

sorry just kidding, can you tell why I don't have a boyfriend? :rotfl:
Its horribly lonely and the whole can't get a mortgage thing is grim I agree. but you won't be lonely any more, not here, this whole site can cheer me up almost instantly. so stay and post and compare notes - how to pay bills and how to meet people on the cheap!!!

I am not going to make anything with milk and mushrooms! The milk was to go with the museli I didn't buy and the mushrooms in a curry/risotto I failed to get the rest of the ingredients for....
I am going to stay in and am about to watch DC in Casino Royale with the sound down while I listen to soft rock classics on cd.... Crazy, Crazy nights! - as kiss once said!:D0 -

You're kidding. As long as it is a CLEAN flat!
You really should be marketing the fact you're not in a houseshare with 3 lad mates and a toxic bathroom or actually living with a woman (and possibly your children) already.
These things tend to a greater or lesser extent to be deal breakers...
And just to remind you. I am (an impoverished) female, mid 30s, single, With A Cat...
Just as well am quite content with the single status I feel...;)
BTW (The mortgage is way way beyond me at the moment (longer than that) but even if I wasn't in such whopping debt I could never have got one on my own so know what you mean there...ironically was the thing I worried about before I realised I had more immediate concerns financially!)0
