Aww Paul, thankyou. You are right, we don't appreciate our good health until there is a problem.

Could you wish me riches as well:D

I think that police contact would work too. As there has been no actual violence, their usual response is to visit the stalker and warn them at first that if the behaviour continues, they will be in court. For the vast majority of such people, that warning is sufficient. It's pretty unusual to continue after such a warning - though it does sometimes happen.

Lula, listen to this advice. I do feel that a warning from the police will work. As with all bullies, he is probably a coward. If he carries on after a warning at least you will have a log of his behaviour and a person from the police to contact.

I'm so glad to hear that you have survived both the illness & the stalker; I was going to send you a pm to say thanks for your insight & help but i figured that as everyone here knows about my situation & many others read but dont post that you deserve public recognition for having the courage to share your own traumatic experiences, the wisdom to recognise that it's happening to someone else & the kindness to gently persuade me that it is a real problem & why, whilst knowing that I didnt really want to involve the police, as it's difficult to convey how stressful it is when there's no threats or evidence of violence. Thank you so, so much :A

ps - need to go find a box of tissues now :o will be back when i've dried up a bit .

Just really glad that I could help. I did do a bit of research on such behaviour after I had been subjected to it. Most of us get the message if someone doesn't want us. Sometimes we have to be told rather than hinted to. I don't always pick up hints myself. Someone once had to tell me that they didn't want to be with me. I was disappointed but accepted it. That's life.

There is evidence of continual harrassment.

Am finally moving on Sunday the 8th... I should rpobably buy a bed or at least a sleeping bag before then!

Was going to ask why there wasn't a bed listed in the things you found in the flat:D At least you are on your way to qualifying, the accom does sound rubbish but it is a means to an end so keep that in mind. You will be qualified soon, so even though it is rubbish, every day there is a day closer to your degree.

Yar I know... was feeling properly low last night and thoughts of jacking it in and flying back to england popped up. Luckily I'm sensible enough to realise that if I don't stick it out until August I will have actually wasted my entire year.

Oh and the estate agent said she's going to look through their storage unit as they have loads of furniture left behind by previous tenants that I cna have for free
