Including the second time I had seen this guy (43), he invited his parents without telling me, we all went for lunch where his mother asked me if I was wearing makeup, did I dye my hair and told me how wonderful he was.

I swear I am not making that up.

My Dad swears that the first time he met my mother's parents, her Dad cross-examined him on what method of shaving he used - for half an hour.

They did marry, though, and are still together 34 years later (-:

but the rest...oh the tales I could tell.....!

you can't leave it like that! Tell!

When I was at uni, a bloke gave me a bottle of Chanel No. 5 - then ruined it by telling me all about how his Granny used it........

  • Thank you. That might explain it. Writing my rant out helped too :D

Where are all the other singletons tonight?

Just got back from dinner with two friends who are both in relationships. The entire evening was spent talking about whats wrong with their partners and the relationships - i felt like a smug single.

I do feel bad about what they are going through but guys think of all that heartache and stress you are avoiding by being single

PS dinner was pizza express - 241 and we shared the pizza's between three and one cake too - so all under a tenner each
  • Out of interest, what are the ages and rough locations of everyone on here?

Believe me the stress and heartache of being lonesome far outweighs the risks involved in finding a partner. ;) For me anyway
