aww rant away honey xxx its what we are here for after all!!

I am wondering if she avoided telling you because of the you being single thing, she might have thought it would rub your nose in it if she told you about it before she knew it was all for real. Clutching at straws maybe but thats all that springs to mind. I dont think it would be for any malicious reason at all I am sure :A

Anyone who read my post yesterday will know that my last single friend has told me she's been seeing someone for 3 weeks. Not only has it annoyed me that I'm the only single one left but it also bothered me that she didn't tell me until 3 weeks in (she's my oldest and best friend).

I suppose the issue I have with it is that I put my heart on my sleeve when it comes to my friends, and I tell them about every nice man I meet, every date I go on, and whether things are going well or not. So I got offended because she didn't tell me until now.

I told another friend and she says I'm overreacting. It's put me in a really bad mood today and has made me vow that I wont tell them anything about my love life (or lack of) anymore.

Such a shame, and I suppose it might be an overreaction on my part but they're quick enough to come to me when something bad has happened in their lives, so why not the good stuff too?

Sorry for the rant. I'm turning to the only place I can.
Try not to let it get you down too much hun, I dont think it was intentional, it could be the other way around "told me she just met this handsome bloke....rubbing it in, because Im single". Your still classed as her friend, and should anything turn sour, I imagine yours is the first shoulder she would lean on. It sounds like your worried she may drop her friends for her man...I dont think thats the case.

last time I told my friends right at the start of something michelle he dumped me the next week despite me being sure that it was going to last. Had I known this would happen I would have told them after but would have felt less of a !!!!!!, next time I'll wait till it's going somewhere.

Excellent advice, I was thinking along the same lines, had she mentioned it and the next day it was off, how humiliating it would be.
