Well I am back from my walk and I am absolutely worn out.:o Took about 40 mins each way, and did lots of walking round the shops as well. Took my ipod and listened to one of my self help cds along the way which helped, but was seriously running out of steam by the time I got about 10 mins from home, I didn't stop as I was worried I wouldn't be able to start again.:D

Used my Boots voucher to get some spot cream which was recommended on the Boots thread as have a feeling this detox lark is going to involve some spots appearing, and some hairspray which gave me 150 points, and also got another voucher, so might do the same thing again next time.

Also went in the pound shop and could not resist buying a big bar of Green and Blacks dark chocolate with gingerbread as I don't think I've seen it before, will save till after detox:D Also saw a magazine I really wanted which I can't find locally, left it on the shelf to give myself an incentive to walk back during the week.

My head has started aching again now:rolleyes: but am feeling very virtuous.:D

Hi Sarah, sounds like you've had a really good day, you sound so motivated. :j

Have not been very good today, just lazed around reading most of the day - and eating too much! :o

My new regime starts tomorrow. Extra incentive now as have been invited to a family party in March - and as we all know they can be hard work with the 'still single?' well meaning questions!!!! Will be so much easier if I look FABULOUS!!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Sometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!

Morning ladies, how are we all?

My weekend was bit of a non-event as it's been pouring with rain since Saturday morning. Had a great night on Friday with some people from work, just a few beers and lots of banter. However after spending all of V day in bed I checked my myspace on Sunday to find a message from my ex.... saying "have a good weekend" and my reply was something like "is that meant to be a joke?"

I can't believe she wished me a good wkend knowing full well it was V day and she'd be shacked up with her new guy.... AAARGH. Angry Rob has entered the building.

Not to mention that I'm still waiting for authorisation for new accomodation so I can't start my new job which is also making me angry.

Oh and the line-up for Download Festival is slowly being released and 5 of my all-time favorite bands are playing and I can't go because this stupid job doesn't pay me enough.

On a happier note, well done on the detox Sarah! Keep it up! You'll soon find the walk will get easier then you can speed up to keep warm :D

hi sarah, well done on the walk :A

hi TDQ - shame about all the rubbish stuff going on but I'm sure it will get better soon :D Ignore the ex, some girls just like to think that you still pine for them even though they've moved on  . If Jet are playing anywhere near you.. go see them for me please, by the way, is it monday already

I'm fed up with decluttering - it makes me hungry :rotfl: & I think I've put on weight :( tomorrow I'm on water & juice only, either that or start smoking  - how's that going TDQ ?

I made the mistake of wearing a vest, jumper, cardigan and thick woollen coat as it was so cold, was absolutely boiling by the time I got home! Am hoping that the heat means I was burning fat:D Next time I will be a bit more sensible. :o

If I haven't lost at least 7lbs with all this walking and detoxing and decluttering I will be seriously displeased. icon9.gif I don't like to do hard work without a nice reward. :D Are you starting your own detox with the water and juice or is it just for one day? Am starting to think I would like to go to one of those very severe health farms where you are only allowed one grape a day and they shout a lot and make you get up at 6am for exercise.

Hmmm, I'm starting to think I'd like liposuction / a muzzle  .

No, I've had a look through the detox plan & with some modifications ( no rye bread  ) I'm going to give it a serious go. Cutting down just doent work for me & while the weather is carp I just dont want to go outside & walk / ride bike. I was hoping to have started the extra job that entails exercise by now. I stupidly started to consume some extra calories to give me boost but then it didnt happen & for some reason I forgot to stop consuming extra calories :o  . I dont know what is wrong with me, it has to be starvation or just get fatter, & fatter & fatter :( I think like the time has come for drastic action & like you, if I can just see the first 5/6 lbs go then it [STRIKE]might[/STRIKE]will make me determined to keep going. 18 months ago I was wearing shorts & vest tops at the allotment... now I dont even want to go there wearing combats - they're not baggy anymore :(:o

It's all seasonal; in summer I eat salads & drink loads of water to keep cool... in winter I eat carbohydrates, sugar & drink tea & coffee to keep warm  I am so angry with myself. Finances a mess at the moment too so that doesnt help...nothing quite like a hobnob /chocolate to munch while doing a budget
