Hi sarah, glad the detox going well... have to say it's very different from the one I did which went something like this :

Stage 1 - Liquids only ( water, fruit/veg juice, herbal/fruit teas)- ok, this is different
    Stage 2 - Liquids & fruit only - feeling a tad peckish
Stage 3 - Add raw vegetables - oh god I'm actually devouring raw cabbage
Stage 4 - Add cooked vegetables & brown rice - oh, you're spoiling me now
Stage 5 - Add beans, lentil, nuts & seeds - & do not leave the bathroom
Stage 6 - Add grains & live yoghurt - at least something's alive
    Stage 7 - Add fish - NO .

Yikes! Couldn't manage that sort of detox! Have tried before and always failed by day 2. It's more of a very low carb, fresh meat and fish, some veg, no sugar, dairy, bread, coffee or additives, plenty of fluids, sort of thing. It is actually very similar to the first two weeks of a diet I did a few years ago which worked very quickly so am quite happy to stick to it if I get similar results. From memory it does also include a day where you can't stray too far from the bathroom. icon9.gif

Am currently drinking papaya and mango fruit tea which is quite nice but hardly replaces the nice cappuccino which I would be having about this time. Oh well. Only 9 days to go and then I can have a nice pair of jeans.:j

I am so glad I didnt start mine in sympathy, imagine how cross I would be if only now I'd discovered how different they were :rotfl:

I do remember feeling absolutely wonderful when I did do the full detox thing... until I got to the rye bread stage; it actually made me ill :(

I've also been decluttering today; DDs room which was horrendous but I do have 2 bags for the dustbin & another 2 for the charity shop  . I'm really enjoying purging the home of all unnecessary stuff... & have managed a NSD as well :D .

I am also planning a massive declutter for this week, I have no choice in the matter as have run out of room. My previous declutters always ran along the lines of, well, I might wear it again or I paid loads for that or it might come in useful. This one is going to be along the lines of, is it something I would wear this week, if not it's going in the bag. Then I can fill my wardrobe with the nice things that I actually want to wear. :j And fit my new shoes in the bottom:D

I do feel much better when everything is tidy as I am hugely disorganised usually, hope to feel less stressed if I can actually move around properly in here and it looks nice.

  • HELLO single friends!
    Happy Valentines day!

been working so not been on here much, not doing the detox this week, mum got the sainsburys shopping in early and am surrounded by lots of forbidden food.

am however going to start eating breakfast which doesn't sound like much but its a start, breakfast and then eating every two hours, as much natural food as I can manage.

just a flying visit meant to be e mailing my friend.

    xxx
    Nevertheless she persisted.

salient point there silverbullit, dealing with debt hard enough work for me without having to cope with a partner as well
  • Am suffering from horrible headache now icon8.gif Also enjoying a blackcurrant fruit tea, which is quite nice.

Have been doing some decluttering, was difficult at first, asking myself if I would ever wear it got rid of a few things, had a pile of things I would possibly wear, then I looked through them again asking "is this lovely," answer "no" so put into get rid of pile. I now have a bag with stuff for charity shop and a bag straight for bin.

I foung some things in bags in the wardrobe I had forgotten I even had, am very happy with a 2 pairs of Next trousers which are lovely:j , also found a lovely cardigan and several scarves, gloves, underwear, socks etc. There are a couple more big bags at the bottom which need investigating properly, but fairly sure what's in them.

I have more room in the wardrobe now but am still struggling with getting things out of the storage boxes which are still bagged ang tagged as I like looking at them and putting them back:confused: I think it's to do with the fact that whilst they are still in bags they are brand new, when I hang them up they become just part of my wardrobe. Need to do something though as want the space I am using for them for other things. Some serious thought needed there I think.

Might make that a task during the week, am determined to use this week productively, trying to do things on the 100 list etc. I hope it's a fairly nice day tomorrow as want to walk to the shops while I am still feeling virtuous. :D

Shame about the headache :( dont hate me but I'm currently working my way through a gin & bitter lemon - this however, is medicinal; my valentine treat was to spend some quality time with my epilator  .

dont want to be naggy type but if you have many things stilled tagged & bagged then I really thing you should consider investing in a digital camera in order to ebay/gumtree stuff. I keep thinking I should do this as I just give so much stuff away simply because I am unable to photograph it for selling :o .

I even have tables & a book case in the loft that people may want. Darent mention how many wooden toys either... cant bear to get rid of them. I am doing well with gettng rid of clothes now.. have managed to associate many with the xbf so in the bag they go :rotfl:
