  • Hello everyone :)

Oh Sarah is today day1 of detox?? Good luck! I'm sure you'll be fine, it's not forever just take each day as it comes!!

Lula :grouphug: Hope you're feeling better soon! That xbf is a pest isn't he...hopefully he'll get the message sooner rather than later  How you doing on the cack pants? I've not weighed myself yet and not been to the gym for weeks but I've been really watching what I eat and feeling good for it, even if I haven't lost wieght. At the mo I don't seem too bothered about actually losing any weight, its more about how I feel than look and I'm feeling good so who gives a damn if I'm a 16 stone heffer. My problem nobody elses ;) (feel freee to remind me of that when I wake up another day feeling utterly naff!:p )

Oh jeez I've just had a de javu (sp?) they freak me out those things!!!

I'm not jelous of couples...when they're just walking down the street or something I don't think anything but if people are looking all loved up and showing public displays of affection I always think 'thats just for show..it's not gonna last...bet it's not always a bed of roses' etc. :o . One thing I am jelous of though is when I see men walking with their kids. I soooo wish my DD had that! Not even when I see families, just when I see men on their own with their kids.

:hello: Willing2learn...welcome to the madhouse! One thing you can guarantee if you're feeling down then this lot will cheer you up! I quite often sit here laughin out loud (especially once sarah and lula get going lol) My DD think's i'm a nutcase! I can't beieve you've not got a tv :j :j That's brill... waste of blinkin money!! I'd totally love to get rid of mine but I can't coz of DD, I guess if I'd have got rid of it at an early age then she wouldn't care but now I feel like I can't take it away from her. I have toyed with the idea of putting the tv in her room coz i'm getting to the point where I don't even like to look at it switched off..it's cluttering up my house! But I don't really want her to have to sit in her room to watch TV, I don't see much of her as it is !!

Makeup... I live 5 mins away from a park and have a child but have been probably less that you have !! It's too cold to go at the moment. I prefer being wrapped up at home in my pj's or in the car with the heater on !! I don't think I could get on a bike early in the morning in the this weather (or any other time of the time come to think of it :D )

I'm gonna have to dash, a friends just called to say she's just round the corner so gonna nip round for a brew... I'd better go make my self look half decent! (not easy:rotfl: )

Hello to all newbies and everyone else... I'll be back later. Hope everyone has a good friday!

    Hi Bowski -

good to hear from you lovely :D

Errr cack pants... umm.... errr ... no weight loss as yet but eating far more healthily & I am in total agreement as to it being how you feel that counts :T . If you feel fab then you dam well are fab... :A that's it :D . I would love to fit into more of my clothes & I will but not prepared to starve myself i order to do it. I love food, always have, always will & just need to get out more & exercise more... & when the weather's better I will :p .

Now that sarahs; on her detox I feel it only right that I should curtail my own indulgence in order to support her. Mind you she might not have the strength to even come on here for a while  . * mental note to fill her pm box with begging posts if she's absent for more than 24 hours*.

I did go without a tv for 2 years a long way back also because I didnt want to pay for the licence. I could easily manage again .... but not until we get another pc or I have a laptop, both DD & I spend far more time on line than we do watching tv.

Xbf situation is ridiculous, not sure why he's resurged ( real word ?) but am being very brutal & not giving an inch. Another email last night saying it would be a mistake to let him go.... sent one back pointing out that I already had - a long time ago now  ) Idiot  .

Could tidy up the table or could read my book but did mention ages ago on another thread that I need to sort washing out so best I get on with that really :o .

    Hopefully chat to peeps later

Hi all,:o :o:o detox is postponed until tomorrow as I forgot:o :o Didn't remember until 2nd coffee at work and there was cake as well:o Have put a post it note on my radio (I always put in on first thing in the morning) and if that doesn't alert me the fridge contents will. Was very cross with myself so have provisionally booked the Monday of the following week off work so that if I do manage to stick it out I will still have the full 10 days. Lula, you have one day's more indulging if you need it:D

  • Jeeeeez I almost forgot it's Valentine's Day tomorrow. Normally I'd have a card to post to some sweetheart or other somewhere. I'm an old romantic really - do anything for anyone but I've not got anyone to do it for. Their loss! The world is full of people and their unappreciative partners :p

Anyhoo, considering buying a house right now and it's blinking hard work because I really don't know what I want to do. It would be so much easier with another half to say, "I think we should do this................or this...................or this................."The laughable thing is that the house is 4 bedroomed :rotfl:for me and the cat. Ach, well, more room for me to get free roam of MY house and not have to compromise for anyone ;)
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!

Ooh Bathgate, sounds fab! I want a 4 bed too, lots of room for a library then:D You lucky thing, being able to have peace and quiet and not having to take account of anyone else. :j

:j:j:j:jI've paid off a debt. I got my December payrise through at last and the backpay was more than I expected so I put it to good use. If they take this long with the payrise I got this month I might have saved enough to pay off another one.
But then I found a new one . Got my credit report and there is a CCJ on there I knew nothing about. The good thing is its £100 and I've put this aside form overtime I've done last month so I should get it cleared pretty quickly. When I find out what its actually for that is.

I've also been bad again and subscribed to Match.com. I really need to get out there and dating or I'll stay a single hermit all my life. I put my profile on there ages ago but kept it hidden as I'm shy and it toook a while to get courage to make it public. Have winked at a few nice sounding guys so hopefully at least one of them will like the look of me. The way I see it if I meet a rich guy or even just a solvent guy and we
move in together that will leave me lots of spare money to pay off my debts :D so its really a DFW thing honest :rotfl:.

One funny thing I looked at the guys it matched me with and I work with one of them :rotfl::rotfl:. He's a nice guy but deffinatly not my type.

Hope everyones OK sorry this is another flying visit. I will try to pop in later. I'm going to make a stir fry and crack open a bottle of wine.

Thank God it's not a work day tomorrow, just hate being surrounded by people telling you what their boyfriend got them or what they have planned. I tend to take Valentine's day off work if it's in the week. Also hate seeing fab things to buy for someone but not having anyone to get them for icon9.gif. On the plus side I suppose not having a boyfriend on Valentine's Day is very MSE:rolleyes:
