Hi all,:o
detox is postponed until tomorrow as I forgot:o
Didn't remember until 2nd coffee at work and there was cake as well:o Have put a post it note on my radio (I always put in on first thing in the morning) and if that doesn't alert me the fridge contents will. Was very cross with myself so have provisionally booked the Monday of the following week off work so that if I do manage to stick it out I will still have the full 10 days. Lula, you have one day's more indulging if you need it:D
Thank goodness for that :j * puts wine back in the fridge for later & eyes up the double chocolate muffin who now knows it's a goner :rotfl: *
Bad enough that there will be slushy mushy stuff all over the radio & tv tomorrow without having to be on day 2 of detox as well. Really think I might join you.... I just need to get over those traumatic flashbacks about rye bread from the last time  .0 -
Maybe if I "evil" them enough they will all break up and I won't be the only single
LOL!
I was moaning at my mum's today saying that i seem to be getting more and more twisted. I'm not 'eviling' couples........yet......but i am very annoyed at people who don't realise how busy my life is because i'm always at work! My landlady has just booked for a carpet fitter to come around on my week off! She has no idea how much i need that week to be completely free :mad:0 -

I quite often sit here laughin out loud (especially once sarah and lula get going lol) My DD think's i'm a nutcase! I can't beieve you've not got a tv :j :j That's brill... waste of blinkin money!! I'd totally love to get rid of mine but I can't coz of DD, I guess if I'd have got rid of it at an early age then she wouldn't care but now I feel like I can't take it away from her. I have toyed with the idea of putting the tv in her room coz i'm getting to the point where I don't even like to look at it switched off..it's cluttering up my house! But I don't really want her to have to sit in her room to watch TV, I don't see much of her as it is !!
Hi Bowski_1011!
I'm meditating on a vision that i WILL get my computer for the flat then i can sit there and giggle with you all!
DD stands for? I'm not good with abbreviations yet, i'm guessing your daughter? I can understand you not wanting her to sit in her room to watch TV. I do miss the TV, but i get the occasional dvd, so i can still use it to watch those as long as the ariel is not in......it's just that i didn't want to pay the licence when that money could go towards a computer......as it is it has gone, not towards a computer, just gone! LOL!:rotfl:
Oh well, soon i will get one!
bye for now0 -
Thank God it's not a work day tomorrow, just hate being surrounded by people telling you what their boyfriend got them or what they have planned. I tend to take Valentine's day off work if it's in the week. Also hate seeing fab things to buy for someone but not having anyone to get them for
. On the plus side I suppose not having a boyfriend on Valentine's Day is very MSE:rolleyes:
I remember a Valentines a few years ago which was very funny. It was a work day and quite a few people got flowers including one girl in the office. She had a good friend in the office (they were both similar ages) and shortly after she got her flowers, her friend called up her boyfriend and gave him hell for not getting flowers delivered to her!!!
About an hour later the florist turned up with a bunch for her....the girl had managed to scare her boyfriend into getting flowers for her!!!
Not my idea of the perfect Valentines gift!
I also used to work in a restaurant and we used to laugh our heads off at customers trying to be romantic when we had tables so close together their elbows would be hitting each other!!
I really enjoyed working Valentines because we got in lots of the loveheart sweets to give out with the bill and I love love them and would eat so many my tongue went numb!!! :jI've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills

Hi Willing,
Yup, DD is Darling Daughter - other variants include DS (darling son), DH (darling husband), DB (darling boss) ...(sorry made that one up - that is too crazy to imagine!)
I love to imagine myself as a person who has so many interesting hobbies that I don't need a TV but when mine broke down about a year ago I nearly had heart failure and had to buy one immediately! I now have freeview as well - which I truly love and I do probably watch more TV than I should (esp things aimed at kids 15yrs younger than me - Project Runway, American Idol, Gossip Girl, anything on E4 and all those music video shows)I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills

Hi makeup - love the idea of DB - but in my case it would be another less affectionate word beginning with D
Our tv died the day after coming back from hol last august & I confess to having a new one installed within 24 hours. This was my last CC purchase & I do wonder whether it was worth it .

Hi Everybody :hello:
Not been around all week so just been catching up a bit
Just posted this in my diary, being a bit lazy and doing a copy and paste!
Suffice to say I didn't acheive anything on my list or stick to my plan - not going to do a detailed update, enough said
However, I am feeling quite positive. My event at work has now finished and I have received some really good feedback at board level so I am really chuffed. I also received a beautiful bouquet of flowers from the sales team to say 'thanks', I was really touched
Need to get back on track with everything else now. I've been thinking that I gave so much commitment into my job/event over the last 5 weeks I obviously do have the ability to commit to soemthing and achieve a goal. That means it's now time to dedicate that commitment to 'project me'!
Plans for this week- tidy apartment and get up-to-date with all household jobs
- lose 3lbs
- exercise 3 times
I'm off into town now, treating myself to a pedicure, and going to get some vitamins and a couple of beauty treats to set me on my way
Will keep updated with my progress
No Valentine's or surprises for me today but I can honestly say I'm not really that bothered. I'm quite comfortable with my single life at the moment. Maybe when I've given myself the general upgrade I'm planning then I will be ready to launch the 'new me' on the men of Manchester!! :rotfl:
Hope everybody has a good Saturday afternoon!

Hi all, have remembered to start detoxing:j
Weighed myself and had hot water and lemon for breakfast at about 11am, am not a morning person. Had sausages and veg for dinner and some prawns and fruit tea for a snack. Feel quite full still so that's good. No side effects yet, if I do feel a bit rubbish tomorrow I will just lie in bed and read or watch iplayer all day I think.
Didn't go for a walk today as it is just too grim and cold which is a rubbish excuse I know, but might go tomorrow if I am feeling ok and it's a bit brighter. Am busying myself doing tidying and decluttering so am at least getting a bit of a work out and I always feel better when it's nice and tidy.
As I can hardly function without the carrot and stick approach, I have decided to get myself something nice if I stick out the whole 10 days. As it can't really be chocolate as that would defeat the object, or a book as I regard those as a necessity anyway, I thought I would get a pair of jeans, as one of my 100 things to do is get some jeans. I did find 2 pairs for £19 a couple of weeks ago but they weren't really the right colour, have now found a lovely pair from m&s for £12 and as I won £10 twice on the lottery last week I will get them and put the change in the piggy.
Off to do some more decluttering:rolleyes: , hope everyone has had a good day xPay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -
Hi Sarah
Good luck with the detox, I really admire you. I would be hopeless at anything like that, am just trying to cut down - and try to exercise!Sometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!Total debt @ Oct 2008: £29,226.42 Credit Card- £[STRIKE]7493.56[/STRIKE] - £7243.56Weightloss : 0/34lbs0
