Hello,
How is everyone? Been drifting in and out lately, being back at work is tiring me out!0 -
Hi Pink :hello: , thought I hadn't seen you around in a while (though I've also been a bit off-line recently). How's things with you?

Hi Rosa :hello:
I thought lying low for a bit would do me a bit of good, I had to get out of being really down. Also had to get past the next birthday! I'm ok now though.
How are you?0 -

Happy birthday to Pink! :bdaycake:
(luckily for you, you can't hear me singing!)
I hope you had a good time.
I haven't been up to much, having a bit of a thinking phase - triggered by flatmate moving out and added to by being ill and stuck in the house! But it's been good, I think I've resolved some things. Now onwards and upwards for 2009!

Thank you for the cake!!!
It was good thanks. I met my aunt and we went for lunch and I had a glass of pinky rose champagne.
I hope you are ok after being ill, hope you get a new flatmate soon too if that is what you are hoping for.
Sorry I haven't read all the posts (about a weeks worth) that I have missed. I have some back reading to do!0 -
Hi mags, I can't really help with this as I have had the same bank account since I was 20, can't remember even opening it! Have had a read through the thread though, lots of people who seem a lot more knowledgeable, I think the person who said change them over yourself is right, at least then you will know it has been done properly and when.
thanks though for responding
i have spoken with a girl who used to be manager of the transfer of accounts department lol im sure there is a proper name for it lol and she dealt with this. she has informed that it should only take 14 working days to complete as its all done by computer now. she has given me a few tips on what to say to this transfer unit.
still too wound up to sleep. i hate being spoke to the way i was. i know im in debt and been stupid but im 34 not flipping well 14.
anyways tomorrow is another day and all that and i will call my local branch tomorrow and ask them to deal with it for me and see what they can get out of them. sometimes my debt panics me..... EVEN after 4 years or so.
I will be free in less than three years with a trust deed - my only option as debt management was taking too long0 -

Are you another Feb birthday then Mags? Mine's in about 5 weeks too. Haven't decided what to do yet... was going to go to New York but that's rather cancelled due to bumper scratch issue and having to replace the unexpectedly-dead laptop  . Would you believe I ended up ringing bumper scratch bloke to check he'd received the cheque I sent?!!
Hm, must think of reasonably cheap cool things to do for my birthday. I've booked a week's leave so that's a good start. I might just have a 'holiday' in my own town, wander round all the museums etc I haven't been to yet, park myself in coffee shop to people watch over the high street, etc. And raid all the charity shops!
Hope your account situation gets sorted. @ rude confuzzling transfer people.

Hi everyone :hello:
I'm afraid this is just a drive by posting, as I had some treatment on my shoulder today so it makes typing hurt  Been mad busy at work this week as well as rediscovering the gym (though not today cos of hurty shoulder - again  ) I've got my PE kit in the car, though, so will go tomorrow when it'll hurt less (it WILL hurt less - I've set my mind on it!)
Anyway, glad to see you're all well. Well, you know, despite the usual things that make us mad/eat/shop/drink/buy books (delete as appropriate!) :rotfl:
Sarah - glad you're enjoying the Being Happy book. It's a really easy read isn't it! I'd recommend reading and re-reading though cos you really need to absorb it and act on it and before you know it, it's second nature!!
'kay - gonna go. Need to get to sleep before midnight at least once this week!! Catch up with y'all soon.
:kisses3:£27k (excluding interest) paid off in 29 months
