I say go for it you only have one chance at this life so grab it. Youve been honest with your friend so its not as if she doesnt know. Sometimes life hands us things that we need to go with our gut instinct on. So go for it and have a good night
 sometimes my debt panics me..... EVEN after 4 years or so.

I will be free in less than three years with a trust deed - my only option as debt management was taking too long :(

I agree with Mags and Lula. You should go for it RMR, you should have more of an idea after Friday night so I would leave any concerns about her till after then ;)
  • I LOVE you guys. I had such a bad nights sleep worrying about it, and you've all made me feel so much better. Thank you. xxx

ah bless you. your not doing anything wrong. two people like same person it happens. If your friend wants to be upset about it there is nothing you really can do about it. these things happen and dont let it worry you. Just be yourself enjoy the date and take it from there

its good to talk though especially on here as everyone is so helpful and understanding. gets it off your chest as well.

Maybe the news abour DS isnt bad? maybe they do know but not wanting to say untill teacher tells you. goodness knows i know i used to tell my parents it wasnt anything bad as it gave me 24 hours before my row lol :o

all i can suggest to help is have a relaxing night and do something that you enjoy doing and pamper yourself as much and as cheaply as you can lol

it wouldnt of been nice having to rummage through all that it must of brought back so many memories

Thanks mags, I have Family Learning today so might try to catch his teacher today when I am in the school, will just keep my fingers crossed. I am pretty sure DS isn't keeping anything for me as he gets all flustered when he tries to keep something from me and he did look genuinely puzzled, we shall see ;)

I did find something in my rummaging yesterday that made me smile .. my old cuddly toy mouse that I had from a young toddler age, bit worse for wear but she aint going anywhere near the bin! Also found various books that I had forgotten about completely that I read in my early teens, mainly animal related .. wonder if I keep rummaging I may come across my old Mallory Towers/St Clairs stuff!

Ossireo, I really feel for you that sounds awful, always seems to happen that everything comes along at once. You should know by now that it's fine to come on here for a waffle! It's what I do, this is my own personal rant thread! Can you offer to set all the dds/sos for him if that is an option? I know it'a a pain and he should be doing it himself but as you say he seems unable to do it (and he seemed quite happy to leave it all to you before:mad: ) and you will ultimately benefit from it. Can't believe he has 4 years CT arrears:eek: I thought people went to prison for that!

I know it must feel really s****y having to go through your old life like that, but think how brilliant it will be when you finally get to make your own mark on the place. it's just a rubbishy phase you have to go through but there is light at the end of the tunnel. Try to focus on that- really difficult, I know- and you will get there. Think how far you've come in the last year, moving house, losing weight, meeting SC etc. You can do it! You've got yourself through lots of things and you will get through this too. xxx

Thanks Sarah, you have a wondeful thread full of fabby people!! I think my present PMS at the moment isn't helping much with my rational thinking hehe!

As far as I can make out with the Council Tax they now have 3 attachment on earnings in force  I actually got a reply from him this morning (send him a Facebook message last night as his phone is broken - I resisted temptation to ask him which one was broken as he seems to be on 3 contracts as per the bills that are turning up for him monthly .. daft !!!!!! probably takes out new ones and forgets to cancel old ones *sigh*) says he is going to sort out Northern Rock this week. My plan is when I move in to send letters to all, giving my move in date and telling them to send final bills to his parents address, that way he has a final bill to pay .. if he doesnt ... it shouldn't impact me anymore as the flood of letters will go to his parents house and they will give him grief :rotfl: However I will want to know that the mortgage is being paid (the buildings insurance is in with his mortgage payment I believe, else I would worry about that as well!) so will try to get that DD sorted asap with him.

there is nothing nicer when you start finding stuff like that. When i moved out of parents i had loads of teddy bears and my mums like you cant take these with you and she binned them     so mags went in the bin and got them i mean they were mine

I did eventually realise when i hit 30 that i could get rid of some of them and i had a clear out but it had to be my decision lol

My bookcase is full and now iv started stacking the books up against the wall

so if your around my neck of the woods up here in scotland pop in and have a raid lool

Fingers crossed that you get to see his teacher and its nothing too bad

    Hi Ossireo,

Big huggs to you for having a tough time dealing with your past life - you are an amazingly fabulous woman :A & your positive attitude is inspirational. Hope all goes well with DS s teacher & as to ranting on here then it does sound cheesy but ' a problem shared, is a problem halved' as they say  . A good rant & release always makes me feel better :D

    Take care hon

Thanks Lula, I've always felt the same really about talking about stuff, use to drive the exDH crazy as he bottles everything up  I do feel positive most the time, well maybe not positive .. just that I want to keep fighting lol After the whole coil issue I feel I got my life back, I just need to mould it to how I want it to be and its being tempremental having been left to its own devices for 7 years ;) I will report back here when I know more about the whole teacher thing! Much love & hugs xxx

Funny you should say that hun, my SC is actually Scottish and all his family are up there (although he has no accent at all as he was in boarding school in England from a young age!) He made me watch 'Chewin' the Fat' over Christmas, needless to say I was completely lost half the time  spoke to his mum at midnight on Hogmanay, and struggled a little with her accent as well, but she did invite me up to visit this year, so I may come snaffle some books :rotfl:
