Haven't decided what to do yet... was going to go to New York but that's rather cancelled due to bumper scratch issue and having to replace the unexpectedly-dead laptop  . Would you believe I ended up ringing bumper scratch bloke to check he'd received the cheque I sent?!!
Hm, must think of reasonably cheap cool things to do for my birthday. I've booked a week's leave so that's a good start. I might just have a 'holiday' in my own town, wander round all the museums etc I haven't been to yet, park myself in coffee shop to people watch over the high street, etc. And raid all the charity shops!
Hope your account situation gets sorted. @ rude confuzzling transfer people.
Rosa xx
i love people watching i can pass hours doing it looking at what they are wearing where they are going and if they have a OH i sit and wonder why they are attracted to each other are they happy or not lol lol oh my god i sound so sssssaaaaddddddd
when i go food shopping its like oh what she got in her trolley why does her shopping look more exciting than mine.... maybe i should shut up now before im carted to the funny farm

Wow! this thread moves so fast it is hard to keep up.
RMR - agree with the girls, would be a shame to miss out on something that could be great / or not great but at least you would know instead of wondering. Hopefully she will calm down a bit and realise that she has other options and maybe he wasn't right for her. Good luck on the date.
Ossireo - that sounds really tough and I hope you come through it ok, seeing all your old possessions can very quickly and easily bring back old thoughts and feelings which can be very draining so I would say to you to be kind to yourself and not force yourself to rush through it. Take your time if that helps and make sure you have something positive to do afterwards that can lift your spirits.
Mags - i'll look for your post now, not sure that I can offer any good advice but maybe I can bump it!
Pink - good to see you around and glad you had a nice b'day lunch
I'm now really interested in happy book - I have a £5 GfK voucher so might put that towards it!
Rosa - that sounds like a great idea for your birthday - there are always lots of places you mean to visit but don't - until you have visitors! You will be pleased to know that my sink is still shiny!!!! (ish!)
On my own front I'm getting increasingly anxious about my ex. We havent' met up yet but we have spoken on the phone and texted. I think we might meet up on the weekend. The problem is that yesterday I really wanted him to call and he didn't and I just don't want to go back to how I was when I was with him. He was pretty unreliable when we were together and I don't think I can go back to that obsessive checking of the phone and anticipation every time I get a text or the phone rings......I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills

Um well Mags you're no madder than me... if that's any consolation
'Night SuSu hope your shoulder gets better soon. PE kit... :rotfl:
I should go to bed as well. Was supposed to be studying tonight but work was  so needed a bit of a break. Can do it tomorrow instead... like I haven't been saying that for a week!
Night all

I'm exactly the same. I like to think of it as being curious about the human condition rather than nosey parker though!
My supermarket is brilliant for that - you get people buying masses of the oddest things. There was one woman who had about 5 or 6 packets of frozen spinach and hardly anything else!
I'm always trying to work out if someone is single or married or how they live their life based on their shopping!! Best fun to be had!I've got my own flat :j:j

Am still doing (or trying to) my 100 list. I found last year's list but a lot of them are not really suitable for the tick list type I am writing this year. I am stuck on #65.Can anyone give me any ideas? Am sick of looking at the same page!

Hello all
Haven't read, sorry, just wanted to pop by. "date" with not Bf went well, well I think so. I have had a !!!! time at work lately and I am really fed up with being told I am not good enough. you'd think after 8 years of teaching I might be used to the constant targets and !!!! but no. It just grates ALOT being told all this by my boss who has 3 years experience. I know I just sound old fashioned and stuck in the mud. I simply do not care. they keep making us reinvent the wheel. its pointless.
my date ws nice tho. we went to see some friends of mine, and we had a drink. we have such a good time. oh. why can't I just bloody marry him!!
Any how I have to remember that it is just a job and it pays the bills. it really doesn't matter.
so I shall be back at the weekend, I might order that Being happy book too so will compare notes?
take care all (and Happy bithday Twirlxxx)

Well, you might! Try to enjoy it rather than panicking and over analysing everything. Just let it be. *disclaimer- I would never be able to follow that advice* Are you planning to meet up again? Remember to let him chase you, not the other way round. It's good for your confidence and much more fun:DPay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0
