Crikey! I'm not Chinese so I don't know all the details :p , but what I do understand is that there are 12 animals in the Chinese calendar, so every 12 years is "your" year. (When I think back to being 12, 24 and 36, something important and life-defining happened in each year).

Just had a look on tinternet to see what's in store for the ox this year, and well, it seems you're going to be v sociable and at ease and the one to cheer up a dull evening. However, there's a chance you'll not finish projects if you can't finish them as quickly as you'd like (debt perhaps?). Here's a Chinese proverb for you: "he who moved the mountain is he who had begun with taking away small stones"

guess what it is my year I have just won a competition, I only entered it on !!!!!!! through quidco for the cashback and the prize is Sarah Brightman's cd a winters symphony, what a let down I don't listen to anything like that, but it's a start, i might win the cash now.
  • I prefer the Native American one to the Chinese one! In the latter I'm a Rooster but in the former I'm a Wolf!

    Much more attractive :rotfl:

I totally agree. Just looked it up and I'm a Cougar in Native American horoscopes!! Much better than a Goat :D

By the way, I'm bored and on the wine right now. Looks like most people are out and having lives. Lucky things.

Not just me sat at home then. Glad you're all doing fun things :D I've just finished watching big bro and still happily drinking the wine. Got given loads of wine for christmas so haven't had to spend any extra on it.

Out of interest, are any of you only children? I am, and I associate that with my need to control everything, and the reason I don't stick it out with any man who doesn't live up to my standards. it's also the reason I don't mind being alone too much (especially when I have wine :D )

I've just started a free trial of Love Film. There was a good deal on Quidco - about £17 cashback. Not sure I'll keep it up though, probably works out too expensive for one person., might do the cheapest one though as not even £4.

One of my '100 things' was to do a cross-stitch I bought about 3 yrs ago that has just sat there. So tonight I actually got it out and read through the instructions. It does seem a bit hard tho' .... hopefully I don't mess it up too much!

No, I'm the eldest and have one younger sister. It is funny but almost all my friends are the eldest in their families as well. We must have something in common!!

I watched a really interesting programme about this once. They were more interested in 'middle child syndrome' but made some interesting comments about your birth place.

I think I always felt I was forging ahead and striking out new ground?? I'm quite a bit more 'go ahead' than my sister although I think this is changing as we get older. I think I feel like I don't have to conform with things???
