Can't wait till I grown up and buy a house. I'm going to have floor to ceiling book shelves with a special wooden step thingummy so I can reach them all!

Ooh, me too! I love those! I read anything and everything, especially history, crime fiction and romance:o but not really chick lit, one of the things on my list is to read more biographies this year. Have most of my books in storage as I just don't have the room here. Not masses I must add, only about 20 boxes and about 5 boxes here (my local library is quite small so not a big job to outdo them, but still:rolleyes: ).

In my defence I do not have any posters in my windows advertising craft clubs, rambling groups or coffee mornings.

Have you read any books by Sophie Hannah? She was one of my school/college pals, so I've read all her books. She's also written poetry books and novels. She's really good, her crime books in particular.

Mind you, sounds like you've got enough books to keep you going for a while!

Nothing wrong with buying new socks girl !! It's one of my favourite things to buy  I just tell myself I'm lucky to be obsessed with buying notepads/socks/books. It's soooo much cheaper than clothes/shoes/handbags ;)

SuSu... I could never cook for someone...I am terrible, I'd never have the confidence to do it! And although coffee sounds like a great idea (or tea in my case as I hate coffee) we do that often anyways as we're friends.
I fancy a proper date, I've never been on one before so really looking forward to it. I don't really want it to involve drinking but I know he likes to have a drink so we'll have to come up with something we both wanna do. On my plenty of fish profile it say's my ideal date would be to go to a gig or a footie match (any other than L'pool) but I wrote that in my pre-MSE days so now I'd be very happy with something cheap and cheerful. I'm seeing him tomorrow anyways so we're going to sort something out then. I'll let ya's know how I get on. I feel quite excited :j

Hope you have a good nite tomorrow at the comedy club.I've never been to one, I'm a bit slow and probably wouldn't get the jokes lol I do love a good laugh though so I should maybe try it sometime!

I've been to the cinema quite a few times on my own if there's something I really want to see. The only problem is that when you see a really good film (like Memento) there's no-one to discuss it with after!!

Years ago I went to the pictures on my own straight after work. The cinema was quite empty and all was well till about 15 minutes from the end of the film when some bloke came and sat a few rows behind me and, ahem, relieved himself quite noisily, and I'm not talking about having a pee

I wouldn't have minded, but it's not like I'd popped into the local !!!!!! palace - it was Kenneth Branagh's Othello :rotfl:

Have only been to the pictures by myself once, I hated it, I felt really silly, but am going to make myself do it again this year, I know whan I go and see other people on their own I don't think there is anything odd about that, so people are not going to think that about me. I just felt a bit daft at the time. It was a few years ago now. The new brave me will storm in and pinch the best seats. One for me and one for my pick n mix.

Ooh, that name sounds familiar, did she write that one about a missing baby, Little Face I think it was called. It was really good.

Funnily enough, one of my ideal dates involves going to a football match, although as it's my ideal date it has to involve my ideal game: ManU beating Liverpool in the Champions League to win the treble!!! As much as I LOVED ManU beating Chelski in the Champions League last season, it would have been SO much sweeter had we beat Liverpool :rotfl:

Glad you're seeing your man tomorrow - thought you weren't going to see him till the end of the month

    Yay, that's the one! :j

She carries the main detective characters through all her books - her 4th one's due out next month I think.

edit: it didn't do the quoty box thing, but this is about Sophie Hannah's book Little Face
