I see what you mean. I was more thinking of it from a more optimistic point of view that this could be the start of something amazing and would be hard to tell her later on??
Maybe you are better off waiting to see how it goes.I've got my own flat :j:j

:hello: Evening all
How's everyone? Are we all looking forward to the weekend???
I'm gutted tonite as it seems someone has hacked into my facebook accountMy friend is on and has seen activity on it but I haven't been on it all night and now it won't let me sign in! Losing Facebook is like losing my right arm
RMR...yes I think you should mention it to your mate, I know what ya mean about if nothing comes of it, but if it does she'll be wondering why you hadn't told her in the first place. Good luck with it, I hope you have a good time! Can't beat a bit of male company
Makeup.... how did that really interesting course go today? Any nice men there? lol Or more importantly...how was the free dinner? :rotfl:
I've got a bit of a stalker at the mo but its just fun and I stalk him too so it's all good. Seen him twice today, it's funny coz we just wave at each other in passing or he'll flash (his head lights:p ) He caught me stalking him 3 times last week it was so funny. I'll only do it with a mate in the car though so I don't look or think i'm a serious stalker! Although he does it on his own
Anyways stalkers aside... I've got a date with my 'male friend' (who just happens to be friends with my stalker  ) I don't know why but I think after our chat on here the other night I realised I really need to sort myself out. I'm am sure alot of you know how this feels but I am just soooooo scared of getting hurt. Lastnight I was in the bath for over an hour and I just lie there thinking and I thought 'sod it...just ask him on a date' He's asked me a few times and I've always said no coz I want to be on my own and not get hurt. But the more I thought about it I realised I'm only fine on my own at the mo coz I have DD at home but come 4 years time she'll be one of those horrid teenager things that I'll only see at feeding time or something. And at the end of the day a date doesn't mean I have to marry him or live with him or make any commitments so I decided to ask. So I text him tonite and he said he'd like to but it will have to be the end of the month! I suspect he said that coz it's when he gets paid but... If I asked him the surely I should pay? What do ya's think?? Although he's a bit of a gent and can't see him allowing that.
Lula... I know what you mean about the campervan thing.... to own one of those would be my absolute dream! It's expensive but I might hire one for the weekend for my 30th (3 years to save up lol) I'm not one for travelling personally but I'd absolutely love to go on a road trip. I love driving so much! One of the things on my list for this year is to hire a car and drive down south. I just need to start putting the lotto on and then win it and I should be able to do it
One thing I can cross of my list is to visit a premiership ground. :T

I think I'm addicted to the internet. My course finished early and was near my home so was back by 5pm. I've spent nearly all evening on the internet - have started listing books on Amazon to meet my Summer Sizzler target. Quite a few were selling for rubbish prices but seem to have a couple of decently priced books including a super dull one on Customer Service that I got free on a course I did which I've listed for about £6 AND one book which I've listed for £140!!!!!:j Just hope the flippin thing sells!!!
No talent at drinks then Susu??I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills

Poor SuSu.... ouch @ sore feet. There's nothing worse is there!!!
Glad you managed to have a good night though! Sounds like fun
Well done on buying those books...they're going to look great added to your collection. I also have an obsession for buying books, they look soooooo good on my bookshelf. Shame I'm not as keen on reading them as I am buying them. Mine are all just chic-lit tho.Initial Debt July 2020 - £6,772.80

Actually wasn't too dull, just lots of info and found out I have to do a fire risk assessment so slightly concerned at responsibility!?!!! There were 3 men (including the instructors) but all were over 50 and not keen on that much of an older man:rotfl:
I love a free lunch.....
I've got to about 70 on my list so would make a pretty big post but here are a few:
1. Get to £40 on onepoll
2. Make sure you get other rewards from surveys
3. Attend cinema at least once a month
4. Get use out of BFI membership
5. Don’t buy anymore make-up or toiletries until have used up existing
6. Organise samples and mini-bottles ready for use
7. Start work at 8am once a week
8. Visit Francis Bacon exhibit before it closes
9. Visit Tsars of Russia exhibit at V&A
10. Visit Byzantine exhibit at RA
11. Visit Michela again in Cornwall
12. Go on Cornwall trip with James
13. Go to Notting Hill Carnival with James
If I post it all will make me seem rather dull (one of mine is buy new socks??!!)
And Yay on date.
My personal opinion on dates is that for the first one you should go old school and if he offers to pay - let him. After that, it's a modern world and I like to go halves.
Maybe one of the guys on here can give a better idea though??I've got my own flat :j:j

Bowski, rather than wait till the end of the month (3 weeks away) why not invite him round for Sunday dinner (can you use grandparents to ensure you have the house to yourself?) or perhaps a coffee one afternoon???
makeup - no tasty chaps there, but lots of lovely fellas, so I just enjoyed being in the company of men (there were about 40 people there, and only about 6 women!). Had a right laugh, which was the main thing. For the last couple of years I've avoided events like this because, oh, it's too much hassle to go to London, or I won't know anyone, or I have nothing to say, but (and I have to say that like Bowski, this forum has helped me to re-evaluate my life) I've decided that I'm just going to get out there and enjoy myself! It's not all about meeting a potential b/f - that would just be a bonus - but it's more about enjoying the company of lovely people.
Looking forward to tomorrow night at the comedy club. Will definitely be wearing my Converse though :rotfl:£27k (excluding interest) paid off in 29 months

(I am to books what Sarahb is to toiletries!).
Sadly, I am also to books what I am to toiletries:o In fact with the books I am worse.:o I have (and I know this to be true) more books than my local library. :rotfl: You never cease to amaze me!! :rotfl:
In the 10 years I've lived down south, I've moved about 12 times  so I have to keep my book collection to a bare minimum. I always move house by myself even if it takes 4 car-loads like last time! Books weigh quite a lot when you're piling up the packing boxes into the boot of the car. So most of my books are either yet to be read or ones that I've read before, loved, and know I will read again.
Can't wait till I grown up and buy a house. I'm going to have floor to ceiling book shelves with a special wooden step thingummy so I can reach them all!
What kind of books do you like then? Perhaps we could set up a DFW book-swapping club (get work to pay for the P&P) :T£27k (excluding interest) paid off in 29 months

I have rewritten my list because I wanted them all to be things I could tick off once they were done e.g fill ISA, get expensive handbag I have my eye on (with sealed pot money), go to the cinema by myself etc. I need my ticks to show I am getting things done to spur me on:D
I have a seperate list for long term things e.g only buy clothes I know I will wear, more walking, buy organic food as those are things I will only know I have if I have done or not at the end of the year. I am aiming for 100 on the first list and 10 on the other. Still stuck on 60 on the first:rolleyes:Pay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -
I've been to the cinema quite a few times on my own if there's something I really want to see. The only problem is that when you see a really good film (like Memento) there's no-one to discuss it with after!!
Years ago I went to the pictures on my own straight after work. The cinema was quite empty and all was well till about 15 minutes from the end of the film when some bloke came and sat a few rows behind me and, ahem, relieved himself quite noisily, and I'm not talking about having a pee
I wouldn't have minded, but it's not like I'd popped into the local !!!!!! palace - it was Kenneth Branagh's Othello :rotfl:£27k (excluding interest) paid off in 29 months
