Single and in debt.

not sure this will work so be nice.
1. Do one thing - a new different thing to help reduce your debts
2. If you are sick of being single or need a confidence boost make a connection however small with some one you find attractive.
You have until next Saturday!
xx
A good challenge! I've decided to switch to a capped electricity rate, via Quidco. It's more moneysaving in general, rather than towards a specific debt, but that's never a bad thing...
The second one has been a big focus for me of late. I realised I'd become very closed and introverted. I've been making an effort to socialise more - I've started going to the twice-weekly coffee meetings in the department, I went to a knitting evening last week, I want to start a yoga class this week or next. I'm a student and I know it's supposed to be easy to meet people and stuff, but it's hard when you're 31 and not very interested in pub crawls as a means of socialising...0 -
Morning all
You lot were very chatty overnight! Just had to catch up on pages and pages...
Am up for the challenge too. Going to list some stuff on ebay later...
Not sick of being single but a 'connection' is never a bad idea...there is a VERY good looking guy who works in my local Starbucks. Though have pledged to cut that out to save money.
Maybe I could go in to Starbucks, tell him am not going to be getting coffee from there anymore (thus taking care of 1) while flirting shamelessly (there is 2...).
He is more likely to have me escorted from the building I would think....plus that's cheating....
And Ossireo...glad youre ok this morning....!0 -
Good Morning everyone, Ytaya, likewise, not everyone likes pub crawls, I dont, i prefer to snuggle in front of the telly to watch a movie, or go for a nice meal.
Yet it seems to find partners, you have to go on crawls, difficult if your on your own. ironically EVEN more difficult if your in a group.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

Morning you night owls Gosh I had a lot to read this morning with my coffee!
MarleyBoy - you are fabulous and don't EVER let anyone tell you any different. Your step-kids will always remember you and everything that you have done for them. Hugs and time will always count more in the general scheme of things.
Hobben Rood - you too are wonderful and special. Stuff the state of the flat. I it bothers you just pile some (empty) paint cans & other assorted decorating materials around the place. Perfect cover. Never quite enough time lol. I got away with it for years!:rotfl:
Ossireo - Bless you for being so fantastic. Big hugs.
must go. Church n stuff. Chat later.LBM:FEB 2008

Agree with you that the pub isn't the best place to meet people... and the alternatives that get suggested are just wrong- 'join a salsa class' was one!0 -
Or 'Pri-marni' as it's known...!
We know it as prada-mark down here in the south west!!!
I am not a singleton, but I am 36, married with a 3 year old girl and we won't be able to get on the property ladder for a few years either (I am looking at 2012 so will be 40) as we have some debt we want to get cleared before making the jump. Also would like to save a sizeable deposit for when we do.
Its so easy to get into debt. I went unexpectedly to the next sale last weekend and spent £250 on my next card. Still, I look at it that as most of it was the next size up for my daughter, she won't need any clothes for next summer now. Really got to get out of that mind set!
Well done to all the independent women out there. :T . just listen to the words of that song, it so makes sense!0 -

Thankfully no-one has suggested THAT! it must be the male to female ratio there!
I also get 'go to the pub when there is a big rugby/football game on...it will be full of men'
A great idea....0
