Single and in debt.

Hi Sarah (edit: and everyone else! You all posted when I was typing!)
You know, there's so much more I'd like to have said to him but didn't because I was SO shocked that I just stared at the text message for a good few minutes before replying. What did he think I was going to do? Get in my car and get round to his house for a weekend of unbridled passion? Get real! I'd rather spend another 6 years being single than reduce myself to that!!
I'm going to tell our mutual friend all the details (she's my friend, but his colleague so she'll be on my side!) Hopefully she'll have a word with him - he needs to know that his behaviour was unacceptable (said in true Supernanny style! - he needs to go on the naughty step :rotfl: )
Re the clothes, I don't know for sure how much they cost (SO out of character!), but I do know they were in the £12-15 bracket (V much in character!). I didn't even try them on - that's what I hate about clothes shopping - but I'm sure they'll be okay. Can't really go wrong with jumpers and t-shirt style tops eh?
I also, ahem, bought 3 x bags of choc-covered peanuts as they were 3 for £2 - but don't tell anyone

Ooh I get distracted for a couple of days and look what I'm missing!
Hello newbies :hello:
SBC - I wouldn't notice or care about a man's shoes unless they were really horrendous, but apparently I'm unusual. I look at eyes, shoulders and hands, if I got round to looking at his feet then I'm definitely not interested!
Re. cars (sorry Lula but I'll be away all Monday
) can I just recommend: car maintenance for women course (look up your local college websites, our tutor was lovely and happily answered my most ridiculous questions without laughing); 'girl's guide to car maintenance' books; and buy the Haynes manual for your car (they're really really clearly written and not too expensive, you may be able to get them second-hand). I only got a car last year and barely knew where to put the petrol in, have no family interested in the things and the only friend in town who does know about cars is working abroad, so decided to educate myself. I still can't actually fix much, but I can look things up and I vaguely understand how it all fits together. (And not being known for my practical skills, I got to feel very very pleased with myself for managing to dismantle bits of cars in class AND put them back together again!)
SuSu - and :grouphug: from me too.
Hope everybody's having a fab weekend.

Welcome new posters :hello:
Susu, your texting tale makes me wish I had the kid of balls where you would set up a hot date, somehow manage to get him naked in a compromising position with handcuffs, then leave him there and take his clothes with you!
Had a shopping/diet disaster today. My US buddy Cory is totaly addicted to Baileys Truffle bars (due to me mailing one to him last year) so in every 4th Asda shop I do I stick in a bar for him which I mail over with an order he usually does for British Comedy DVDs from Amazon (as he then pays the postage!). Well the shopping arrives .. and they had no Baileys Bars so they substituted it with some Thorntons bars .. so I now have 6 bars of Thorntons delight staring at me and I have such wicked munchies atm I am finding it hard to resist :mad:0 -
I popped out to get some wine earlier to accompany me on my lovely:rolleyes: night in, and saw Green & Black's butterscotch chocolate at half price. So of course my bargain hunting chocolate loving brain told me to buy it. And now it's staring at me... so I now have 6 bars of Thorntons delight staring at me and I have such wicked munchies atm I am finding it hard to resist :mad:Pay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -

Hi Will, we've all done silly things concerning food, that's why this thread has a very loosely run diet challenge! Don't give yourself a hard time for goodness sake. If you want Ben and Jerry's most supermarkets have good offers on it from time to time, so stock up then. (says she who does that regularly and then scoffs the lot). In the meantime enjoy the ice cream and put it down to experience.

Green and Blacks is good! I love their minty one, I have a minty chocolate addiction. I used to love the green Munchies when they were called mintolas!
I wonder if they are still available.
Oh, and p.s. I wish they would bring back the Cabana bars!!!! :j0 -

Hey willsnarf,
Hi Sarah,
know just what you mean about good old fashioned sweeties * feels relieved at finding fellow nostalgic*
Just polished off a packet of hula hoop doritos & now working my way through a twirl - & wishing I hadnt bought 2 packets of teacackes earlier, just in case.
Have come up with another good thing about being single though :
There's a Jean Claude van Damme film on & I dont have to watch it. I must have seen every Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Steven Segal, Jason Statham, Sylvester Stallone blah blah blah film going & I never have to watch another one again :dance:0
