I would quote some of your reply SBC but I don't know how

Hmmm, i'm seriously worried about your dress sense :o You don't have anything to go with brown shoes  Do you not own any jeans  I'll wait till you get back to me about that before I say anything else on the matter :D

As for the bag/shoes/wine thing, I am just not feminine. I know nothing about fashion and make-up either! And clothes shopping is my worst nitemare  Now I sound like a butch lesbian  I don't think I look like one

Ohhh I'm off to the gym, not been the last 2 days , been a busy bee. so I'm looking forward to it.

    I'll catch up with ya's later :)

Thank goodness you're back to keep our feet on the ground bowski & glad you had a good time.

I could quite happily live without wine but would really struggle with the shoes. Actually boots more my thing this time of year as I tend to wear jeans & when I lose the rest of the weight I'm going to be buying some more of them.

No brown shoes here - unless the leopard print ones & the the wedgy sandal ones count :o but I do have 3 pairs of brwon boots & do you know, no one pair is actually the right colour  .

Just been to the M & S sale & it was torture ; just full of beautiful cashmere everywhere I looked - very nearly cried but managed to hold it in - also loads of fab lingerie but I resisted & just bought presents for other people - they damn well better appreciate them ;) & saved over £10 so quite pleased with that.

By the way bowski , the way to do things is to write your 'to do' list on here & then you have a perfectly valid excuse to log on :D .

 to car noise Sarah - I really hope it's nothing serious & definitely less than £60. Sparkly wellies would be very appropriate I think, perhaps I should get some too in case I do set up my * visits to ancient tree for those who have exhausted all other methods of romance retrieval* tour guiding ;) .

Hello & welcome to Peanut Butter - we're really not at all shallow, trivial & slightly bonkers :o . Thanks for your wise words & I do believe we are learning from our past mistakes.

RosaBernicia - Dime cake - no one told me that even existed  release it from the fridge immediately - it'll get cold ;)

I think I actually would go mad if it wasnt for you all on here :A

    Hiya,
Bowski glad you had a good night out in Wakey, your right about that club it's full of cheese and it really is a cattle market, but it's all harmless fun really just depends how far you want to take it. On the subject on fashion I like it but I tend to buy what I like and if no one else does tough, but I'd prefer to be going out in my trainers than some boots that will probably cripple me, and i'm no butch lesbian either.
Lula I am mad so it doesn't really matter how much time I spend on here, I'm the mad aunty in my family, my brother say's it's cos I'm still on the same wavelength as the kids, meaning I'm 10 in the head, like I'm bothered.
Back to work I'll catch you all later.

Well I'm back from the gym, had the best work out ever. I look terrible but feel great!! I beat all my targets on the cardio stuff so I'm a happy bunny. But I can't get a shower coz there's a plasterer working in my bathroom :( I wouldn't mind if he was fit :D

Lula.. That's a great idea bout the list :) I might just do that!! Well done on your M&S adventure!! I'm sure whoever you have bought for will appreciate it. I'm thinking of going in there myself coz I've still got the £5 voucher to spend that I got free due to this site :)

Sarah I also hope your car doesn't cost too much... But is it possible to get anything done to a car without it costing the earth?! Whenever I get anything done it always seem to involve a 'motor' GRRRRRRRRR!!

Hope everyone's day is going ok , I'll be back later no doubt! With a list for tomorrow..it's too late to start a list for today now;)

  • Hi all. I'm in a really crappy grumpy mood today and have been this week. Must be my age! Have had about 10 hours sleep since Saturday as I'm constantly worrying about stuff - nothing in particular, just everything. Told my GP and he says I have generalised anxiety disorder (in other words, worry about nothing all of the time!). At least I know there's a name for it and not just me being neurotic! It may sound daft but I go through this punishment phase where I don't let myself rest because my life isn't perfect. Sounds silly when I write it down, but I see it as, "What right do I have to relax and enjoy life when I have debts / need to the 'leccy / have a crap car / stone overweight / didnt answer that email at work / don't have a Macbook / etc?" Don't know if any of my ramble makes sense but it's difficult to explain.

Even struggled to sound happy for people at work who were sharing good news - one engagement and another who has had twins after years of trying to have kids. I suppose it's a case of, "How can I be happy for someone to be engaged when I might not have money for food next week?" Again, don't know if that makes sense?! (God, I sound like a right crabbit cow!)

Anyhoo, got a trip to the football again on Saturday which always cheers me up and seeing my wee godsons too - will be perky and happy by tomorrow afternoon no doubt but at the moment in a rubbish mood and on here to share it!!!!
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!

 I have a few pair of jeans but I haven't noticed any bloke wearing that particular combination since the late 1980's when the shoes were supposed to go with the brown "leather" collars on denim jackets I think.

If I wear jeans then I wear trainers unless its a night out then it's black shoes.

Edit: Just had a flashback to a few nights out in Whitehaven & Workington in 1999 when all the local blokes were dressed in previously mentioned 1980's attire. Those of us from outside the area stuck out like sore thumbs in our more contemporary clothes ;)

On the downside my car, which I need for work, has started making strange noises, so may have to take a day off work to take it to the garage. I shall try to think positively about it- maybe it will be a minor problem and cost less than £60.

    What sort of noises Sarah?

& What are you doing when they happen (i.e. accelerating, braking, turning corners?)

Hmmmm, now who cant stop talking about shoes eh ;):D I'm definitely preferrring brown to black though - do you remember those grey ones that blokies used to wear with stayprest trousers & harrington 's ?

BGB - whinge away - that's what we're here for & yes I know exactly what you mean, except I dont even know what a macbook is :o if it's anything to do with facebook I dont wanna either. I've spent the last 10 years covering my tracks so 'old friends' cant locate me, the thought of being plastered all over the web horrifies me  that is - the web bit - quite happy to get plastered :D

I totally agree. There are a couple of people in particular I wouldn't even want to know which town I'm in let alone have a means of contacting me.

The people who I want to stay in touch with I stay in touch with by actually talking with them.

(ps - macbooks are laptops for pretentious people ;)) sorry - I couldn't help myself
