By the way, does seeking help from horoscopic (?) readings/ birth charts & visits to tarot readers & ancient trees count as self help ? Not that I've ever done any of that of course :o

This reminded me that the last time I went to have my cards read, about 5 years ago, I wrote down everything she said so I could refer back to it. I kept it in one of my old diaries and have just had a look through it to see whether any of it has happened. It hasn't. I am cringing at how stupid I must have looked, hanging on every word and writing it all down. Not one thing has happened. I went about 5 or 6 times in all, and it wasn't cheap either. She must have laughed her socks off when I kept going back:o .

And the sad thing is I would probably still be going if she hadn't given it up. I didn't want to go to anyone else because I thought she was so good:o I realise now that it was probably because it is nice to spend an hour talking about yourself with someone taking all your concerns seriously and giving you the answers you want.

Oh well, we live and learn.

    Hmmm,

havent actually dont the tarot / birth chart thing for a while but the tree thing happened not long after meeting xbf - suggest you avoid that one though as apparently far too effective, am considering a return visit to try & reverse it  .

How do I find this tree?:D

    Hi sarah,

I went to the reader as a 'friend' recommended her, lovely lady but like you say £20 later I felt much beter as 1- like you say had spent an hour talking a bout me & 2- it gave me hope  .

Ancient tree I visited is 2000 years old & of great historical significance. It's actually very beautiful, you can climb inside it, see faces in the bark & people leave gifts & tie ribbons in it as it's well known locally for granting wishes.

*forsees tour operating opportunity ahead aimed at single people ;) *

I would also suggest that this would be a new footwear buying opportunity as wellies essential :D

by the way, anyone heard from Bowski ? I'm a bit concerned that she hasnt reported back after big night out  You ok there hon ?

Ooh, the tree sounds lovely! I don't own a pair of wellies, but by the sound of it this is a tree which should be treated with great reverence and it would be an insult to approach it in inappropriate footwear. *googles sparkly wellies*

I have looked at my notes again and it looks like she correctly predicted the colour of the car I would buy 2 years later- maybe she CAN see into the future:D . How silly, I am tempted to look for another one now:o , it is fun to talk nonsense for an hour with someone who knows how to say the right things and £20 isn't a massive amount when I think how much I spend on other silly things.

I have been reading my self help book:o and trying to think positively about money. Today a cheque arrived for £60 which was a payment to a credit card I forgot to cancel after closing the card. So technically it is my own money being returned to me but as I worked out last month's totals after it had left my account, I can put it straight into my savings. On the downside my car, which I need for work, has started making strange noises, so may have to take a day off work to take it to the garage. I shall try to think positively about it- maybe it will be a minor problem and cost less than £60.

I'm here guys .. thanks Lula and Sarahb for the concern:beer: I have been reading and really laughing out loud (monday the thread was hilarious, I think you're all crazy!)

I had a fabulous night! I didn't even get drunk even though I was drinking all night... I didn't get any snogs, I'm sooo my own worst enemy!! I was all up for a night on the pull but once I got into the club everyone just looked so desperate and I thought it just was not for me!! I had lots of boogies with lots of different people and my mates ended up leaving the club and I stayed with these 2 guys we met:eek: I was soooooooooooo gutted I has to go early (bout 4 lol) but my feet just couldn't hack it any longer!But... I got 5 new facebook friends and a phone number :)
Me and my friends have decided we're gonna go back in Dec, it's a bit far just for a night out but sooooo worth it. eco will know, but the niteclub we go in, you can just boogie all night to total cheese!! I'd reccommend it to anyone lol

SBC.. I cannot believe you don't own a pair of brown shoes.. this is where you're going wrong!!:p

I am not like all you women with ya bags/shoes/wine.... I used to think women who HAD to buy them were mental but now I'm beginning to think I'm the mental one!:o

eco... hope ya have a good weekend... lets see if you can keep to ya word..hehe!

I am wanting to start wrapping xmas presents but I am soooo addicted to this blummin thing  I'm off work now though until Monday and I've decided I'm gonna have a list each day and not turn laptop on each day until the list is complete. I'll just have to make sure I don't put too much on the lists lol

My MSE-ing has really gone out of the window this month :( I dread to think how much I've wasted, I still haven't had 1 NSD this month... NOT 1. I didn't even think it was possible haha! It has really made a difference to my bank balance and debt overpayments too! Although nothing to worry about coz the minimums have still been paid, I just do not want a repeat of it next month so need to start gettin my head around it now.

Oh crikey look at the time.. I've been typing this message out for about an hour and half lol It take me ages between this/facebook and making brews.

    Goodnight :)

Well Hello! ;) You just shot up in my estimation. :D

& in my defence on the brown shoes thing, I don't really have any clothes that would go with brown shoes so they aren't needed - or am I missing the point?
