  • It happens Bowski  & the length of the relationship has nothing to do with how long it takes to get over someone.

I'm sure most of us on here have had a weak moment with an ex.
  • Bowski, you are NOT an idiot! Everyone has wobbles when it's finally over, you are definitely not alone in doing that. Oh how i hate the texts sent in low moments! I need a breathalyser on my mobile, which locks it if I've had more than one glass. Would have saved hours of grief!

    Oh Bowski,

dont be sad hon, it is ok to miss someone you've shared your time with, you'd be a bit cold & detached if you didnt. I keep having weak moments too which is ok as long as xbf still safely tucked away in the depths of bulgarian countryside but will not be ok at all when he 's only 10 miles away  .

I would actually quite like the whole world to just freeze until I've paid off my debt because I dont think I can envisage any type of life or future until I've cleared the lot which makes me very  .

Rosa - good tip thank you , just trying to stay away from alcohol at the mo because I keep getting smoking yearnings which will be impossible to ignore, not sure DD would appreciate me quaffing her sugar free apple & blackcurrant squash either ;) .

  • Thanks guys !!! :)

I wish I had the excuse of alcohol but I don't lol

It's poo splitting up from someone even when you know it wasn't right and you're gonna enjoy being single!! If I ever mention liking another bloke...shoot me!

  • Lula, when is your ex back in the country?? is he not staying at yours then?

Luckily my ex is 82 miles away so I doubt I'd ever see him again. Although I've still got his tent so will have to see him when he asks for it back. I'm kinda hoping he'll forget about that! haha!

    Hey Bowski,

the xbf due to land at gatwick next tues & so far I've resisted offering to go pick him up, apart from making that my 3rd gatwick run in 10 days  I know that if I do it'll give out the wrong impression & I'll never get shot of him. I never let him move in because he's a lazy sod who cant hold a job, which would have been disastrous for finances. He's just a lazy sod generally due to his mother treating him like a kid. The whole bulgaria trip involved him staying in her house out there on the pretext of doing the place up & the stupid woman was actually funding himbecause while he was there she was renting his room out & putting the money in his bank account  . Grrrr makes me mad just to think about it... in fact thank you hon, making me think about it has just reminded me of all the reasons I split from him, so she can go pick him up & have him move back in with her.

Bowski - you're a star :A you just cured me of all weakness :j

YAY!! YOu go girl !!! I defo don't think you should go pick him up, not because I'm a horrid person (well, some might say lol) but like you say, you don't want to be sending mixed signals and that's exactly what it would do. Plus if he has Mummy to do it then let her!! Will he be spending time at your home when he see's your DD or will he take her out.
I'm sure it's going to be hard for you when he's back but you're sure you don't want to be with him (which from what you say you are sure and within good reason!) Do you have a diary or something you can write down all the reasons not to be with him and then if you're ever tempted you can always look at that to remind you? Is he going back to Bulgaria or is he back for good now?

To be honest, if he never rang or text me again I wouldnt be at all bothered, in fact it would be a relief :j ; I just feel I have to be pleasant when he does & DD does mention missing him now & then, but she'd probably get over it if I bought her a cat/dog/rabbit - you know how fickle we girls are ;) . Apparently he's coming back here to get a job so that he can then go back to Bulgaria & buy a car & complete the work on the house...yeh right

I keep a list in my head all the time of the many reasons why I dont want to be with him, I reckon after 2 years you've got to know a person pretty well & he'll never change his attitude to work/money because that's how he was brought up; ie not to do a days work if you can scrounge what you need from someone else. I was brought up very differently & it just irks me beyond belief  .

Anyway, I'm off to bed now as have plasterers due in the morning; only another 11 days of chaos left now :)

    G'nite

We've all been there with the low moments, god the times I sit there staring at my phone or IM thinking OMG WHY DID I SAY THAT! As I too want to be the super strong one all the time, but then I also think having a good cry is needed as well! Sarah needs to patent the mobile phone breathalyser!

I am going to agree with not picking up the xbf, can lead to all sorts of problems and people unfortunately dont change ;) and also no going back to the smoking Lula!!

btw SBC party0037.gif for you xx
