Happy birthday to Ossireo and belated birthday to SBC.
After an hours trawling tinternet last night I ended up paying £310 for insurance and breakdown cover with £65 cashback which I will get in about 3 months from Quidco, alot better than £350, it will be nice to get the cashback in December or even January, when I will be poor from going out and drinking too much.0 -

Happy Birthday everyone! Hope you all had/are having a wonderful day!
Sorry I've not been on here - had my interview this morning. It was quite scary but I don't think I said or did anything too horrendous. Now I just have to wait. They were seeing four people so not sure when I'll know if I'm through to the next round
Drunken texting - I am the expert. There is nothing worse than having to look through your sent messages the following morning! We will never learn...
Er, weighed myself this morning and haven't lost anything! I am blaming the huge jacket potato, beans and cheese I had last night to calm my nerves (oh, and the weekend binge of non stop eating and drinking!) This week I will do better!

Hello everyone. I'm feeling much better today, I think I just needed a good cry lastnight.
I've been bad again today diet wise.. bacon, sausage and cheese bun for breakfast and then I've just eaten some pringles that I wish I hadn't bought. They were meant to be for tonite but I just started eating them as soon as I walked thru the door!!
Anyways only an hour to go until weigh-in and I can look forward to next week. I'm defo going to do better next week, well I couldnt possibly do any worse even if I tried!!!
DD's got her friend round for tea and I was going to get them Mcdonalds but went in the co-op and pizza was half price at £1.29 so I got them that, better than paying £4 for happy meals plus I'd have had to go in the car. I also bought some pringlesthat were on offer! and some weightwatchers bread that had gone down to 30p
Well done on the interview PF.. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, hopefully you'll not be waiting too long.
Ossireo, thats good news about your win. Hope you've enjoyed your birthday! Good luck for your weigh in later.
Hope everyone's had a good day

good evening boys & girls,
Well done to Paddling forgetting through interview in one piece, will be keeping things crossed for you.
I've been so stressed today I actually forgot to eat ; guy from garage came to pick my car up & he was blatantly smirking at it. I'm so scared that they recommend writing it off as will be lucky to get £200 for it which is no way going to get me a new car now is it  . I'm actually starting to be quite cross with woman who drove into it - has caused me no end of hassle  BUT I do have a very new - only 650 miles  - & shiny blacked out rear windows fiesta thing to drive around in. They swiped my cc for £50 deposit so I am considering making a run for it as I know I have only about £1200 available on card :rotfl: just kidding.
Kitchen now all freshly plastered - wish I was too- & I've since made up for not eating earlier. Nothing lost...but nothing gained. At least xbf gone all quiet for last 2 days, probably for the best as I'm just looking for someone to vent all over.
Hope everyone else ok & doing lovely diety datey type single stuff

lula if the insurance company want to write it off check with the garage how much it would cost to repair, and how much the insurance company are going to give you, they look at car worth and cost of repairs and go for the cheaper option, it might be worth sorting it yourself, hope that makes sense.0

Hi eco,
thanks & yes I do get what you're saying. The car is a banger, albeit & mechanically sound & very reliable one. It's covered in dents & scratches which is why I told other driver not to worry about it, frankly I didnt care about another dent as I was just running it into ground (hopefully for next 2 years until debt free .) I did say it wasnt worth her losing no claims or paying excess as I had no intention of bothering to get it repaired. I would never be able to sell it even with FSH as it just looks so tatty & the cost of getting it looking decent would be more than the top price I would everget for it
The plan was to just keep it running for couple of years. She said she would ring me later with her insurance details & I was going to suggest she just offer me some cash as an apology, but when she rang me she gave me her details & had already filed her claim admitting liability which is why this whole ridiculous chain of events has been set in motion  .
I've told insurance companies I dont care about getting it repaired but because she declared full responsibility it seems I have absolutely no say in the matter.
sorry for ranting & thanks for your advice anyway
lula0
