Sorry you've had a bad day Hula, hopefully tomorrow will be less stressful for you. I'm sure it'll be better once the builders are out of the way and you can get back to normal. It'll all be worth it in the end I'm sure!
Well I put on 1.5lb, I'm cackier that cack at this lol Although I must admit, what I've eaten I deserve to put on much much more. I must be good this week, there's just no two ways about it!!
I'm off work now till Monday and my house is tidy so don't know what the heck to do with myself. I'm meant to be going out on friday night to some spiritualist church thing with my friends and then going out afterwards, should be good if I go but I can too easily talk myself out of a night out!
I'm quite nervous about tomorrow, I do voluntary work for a charity called home-start and tomorrow I start supporting a new family  . I know it will turn out ok but I hate the first few weeksInitial Debt July 2020 - £6,772.80

Hiya Bowski,
just spoke to my dad & now feel a bit better about the car thing ; he says I need to ring garage first thing & say that they either repair it or return it as I dont accept it being written off as it's still sound. I just hate the way these big companies kind of 'bully' you in to doing stuff when you havent got a clue what to do for the best.
That's when its scary being single, bet the xbf would have told me to take money & go on holiday  - no word from him so hoping he's finally getting the message.
Interesting that you're doing the home-start thing ; I keep looking at notices about that in our local library but then think to myself - hang on girl, you live on the edge as it is, what on earth can you offer  . I may investigate further now. I've decided not to go ahead with the OU spanish course as although it's not time consuming, it is more deadlines to cope with & therefore stress; I'm not prepared to do anything that could cause another bout of depression so think it's best I keep my life simple as possible for now.
Thanks for your support & encouragement, it really means a lot :A
G'nite

Hi Ladies,
Just thought I'd pop in to say Hi. Bowski, sorry to here about your car and totally know what you mean about big companies bullying you. Well done for questioning them though and doing your own thing. :T
Glad to see this thread is still going strong!

Hi Lula
I just remembered seeing an article Martin wrote on free language courses a few months ago. Maybe one them will be more suitable.

I somehow managed to lose 3.5lbs yesterday
clearly all the walking around Legoland cancelled out the quite naughty food!
The Scot came over last night and ended up taking me to Pizzahut so was rather naughty so better not eat all week to make up for it :rotfl:
Lula & Bowski good luck with the car & Home-start stuff0 -
Well done Ossireo!! That's brilliant and you definitely deserved Pizza Hut! Glad to hear the Scot is still on the scene - how exciting.
I am off for dinner tonight with my newly married friend. I think wine will be required to cope with her marital bliss! xxx0 -
Well done Ossireo!0

Wow Ossireo that's fantastic!! :T Pizza Hut was well deserved and well enjoyed I'm sure!!! I think you'll be able to eat this week... but only good healthy food lol What's this about the Scot? I haven't managed to read thru the whole thread yet so guess I've missed something. Thanks for the good luck wishes, I'm starting to feel really really nervous now (and it's making me want to eat but I'm not going to!!).
Lula... I think you should look into home-start. Don't ever think you've got nothing to offer! You're great on here and I'm sure you'd have lots to offer in person too. I can't explain what I'm like without it sounding like I'm putting myself down (which I'm not!) But I'm a nobody, was a single mother from 17, been on benefits until the last 2 years and do absolutely nothing with my life..blah blah! But I'm a parent and understand how hard it can be. I'm very lucky that I've always supported wonderful families (this is my 4th family) that don't have any issues, just need a helping hand because of certain situations they're in. Some families are more complicated than others but my organiser knows I only like simple families with no child protection issues so that's all she ever matches me with. The week I started my first family was 3 years ago, when my ex left me for someone else and to be honest I feel like HomeStart helped me get through it, I only volunteered once a week but it gave me something to do, gave me something to think about and made me feel good about myself by helping others . I would advise anyone to at least look into it. I love itbut just not these first visits
Have you spoken to the garage yet about your car??
PF...hope you enjoy dinner tonite, I trust you're going to have something delicious and healthy?? lol And soda/diet lemonade in the wine??!! hahaInitial Debt July 2020 - £6,772.80
