    Happy Birthday Snowy:bdaycake:

Been to the hairdresser this morning and had a good short cut - so am all fluffed and pampered. There was a new girl doing hair washing and she gave me a lovely head massage when she put on the conditioner - don't you just love that?

Sunny day here so will get some washing out.

Off to have a cup of coffee and finish my book. Lazy day!!!

Thanks everyone for all the congratulations, called fiance at work to tell him the good news, he stresses out quietly unlike me (!!!) but at least he should be less grumpy now. He gets very depressed if he can't provide for his family and after losing his main job a few months ago work is only just picking up so this is a huge relief. We still owe his sister £600 for money he borrowed to buy tools for aforementioned job but he's using them now and he will work off the debt to his sister as he's a gardener and she has a huge garden.
Am so so so so relieved about overdraft going away as we were paying £20+ in interest each month.

Congratulations snowy on your new job, glad good things are happening for us and hope more good stuff is on it's way for the rest of you.

Off to do some ebay browsing now as kids need shoes and I need more wedding stuff. (Don't look on flylady as I'm meant to be doing my list of housework!)

    Have a good day all.

Ragz - brilliant news! What a relief that must be!

Snowy - congratulations to you! Well done, after all that searching! They're bound to like you.

I'm just waiting for the kitchen floor to dry and then I'll clean the sink and the house will be all sparkly, clean and organised - well, for a couple of hours!

I must confess that I only iron quilt covers if we have visitors - apart from pillowcases; they get ironed after every wash because it gives the impression that the quilt cover has been ironed too! That reminded me not to feel too smug about getting the house all clean - I have a big pile of ironing that I will have to do tomorrow; I can't be bothered today!

I washed the floor with Stardrops, white vinegar and hot water and it looks really good. When I think of how much I used to spend on cleaning products when, all along, I only needed Stardrops, vinegar, bicarb, soda crystals and water! Still, at least I did find out in the end!

Well, looks like the floor has dried with all the windows and doors open so just the sink to clean and then I'll polish my halo.

    See you all later.

  • Snowy, congratulations on the job, great news :)

Dazi, sorry to hear you haven't got as many hours as you hoped for - maybe you can make yourself indispensable & you might get more...?!

Ragz, that's good news - are you going to double-check it's not a mistake (or it might end up being double the amount of worry..?!?) But that will be fantastic if it's definitely yours :)

Little brother just here, fiddling with his new IPhone - I think I may be wanting one in around 3-4 months when my contract is approaching its end...

Middle DD doing lots of jobs in the house today as she wants me to buy her a jumper - so I can concentrate on some nice OS stuff like baking :)
