hiya all
been busy sorting through my cupboards and have about 35 books to sell, think i'll ebay them as they sell well there, also got a camera, camcorder etc to sell, no point them just lying about doing nothing:D
quite hot here today, temp outside is nearly 30 according to my outside thing, might have been the sun on it though:rolleyes:
catowen - good luck for ds/dd for sports day today, hope the weather stays fine for it, i think you can only change your username if you have a good enough reason for it, which i did, think it's to stop people changing just cause they feel like it all the time, sounds as if you have a good enough reason to though, i contacted the webmaster who then put me in touch with the abuse team, they are great:A
loving my new name:D

Snowy - what gorgeous cats! And they pose so well, too. I couldn't choose a favourite, though; they are all beautiful.
Has anyone read 'Enough to Make a Cat Laugh' by Deric Longden? It's one of the funniest books I've ever read. The author has imaginary conversations with his four cats and they are so convincing; I'd definitely recommend it to all cat owners (or, as they say, staff - dogs have owners, cats have staff!). How true is that? I think that's what I love about cats - their 'talk to the paw' attitude if they are in a mood with you.
Catz - how is the puppy?
Welcome to LoopyLinz - glad you have joined us after lurking - we don't bite and love new members. You've joined a great thread.
Well, I'm tired after a morning spent cleaning and a trip to the shops in this humid weather. As I didn't get much sleep last night, I'm going to have a snooze on the sofa.
Hope everyone is having a great day with lots of sunshine.

I can't believe its so hot but no sunshine
I've just got changed into a sundress :rotfl:
Just got back in from work, have been out 4 hours but will only get paid for 2, boss was not there so had to sort the delivery stuff out myself, not sure if I got it right. Have left message for him to ring me as I think this is pointless. Both for him and me, he is paying me and I am doing nothing. I cannot sit and do nothing.
Have been in touch with the 2 agencies I used to temp for 2 years ago and they both remembered me (not sure if thats good or not ) for some reason I didn't get back in touch with them when I was looking for work, don't know why, but they both want me back on their books. One actually said (blowing own trumpet here) yesssssssssss please come back, you were so reliable. Errrr maybe that means old and fussy.
I like your new name too Princess pixiedust, I was quite confused yesterday, but then again, it doesn't take a lot to confuse me :rotfl:
Catowen - hope the sports day goes well, I used to love going to them, well until our school decided to have non competitive sports, that just confused me again
Have decided I will have salad tonight, its too hot for curry. Need to get some salmon out of the freezer to go with it.whoever said laughter was the best medicine has clearly never tasted wine

Hiya!
Happy Birthday Snowy Owl.
I haven't posted for almost a week as life has just been too busy by far.
Just popped on to say 'tara' as we're off to Australia tomorrow for just over 4 weeks. :j:j
The girls left their schools yesterday as they both move onto junior and high school in September, so it was a happy and sad day for both of them. I took DD1 to see Mamma Mia to cheer her up and it was FAB! I would really recommend it as a film to put a smile on your face, unless you hate Abba of course. :rotfl:
While we were out, DH managed to drop/lose the backdoor key in the road/local shop and has spent 3 hours today replacing the lock...what a muppet!
So I think we're packed and ready to go and as it will be winter over there I've packed everything from shorts to jeans and jackets. This is usually what we take when we go camping over here!
The weather over here in the UK is looking good for the next week so I'll be thinking of you all 'baking' in the sun while I put my cardi on.:rotfl:
Take care!0 -
Well, cant believe we are on page 5 already...only on 2 when I went out this morning.
I have just read back and it`s taken me ages;) lots of congrats in order, and well done to you Snowy what a great birthday present hope its permanent:T

You take it easy LameWolf , a bit of R and R will do you good
Welcome to you LoopyLinz :hello:

Good news for you too ragz and well done :T :T

Evening everyone!
Have just got home from work ... OH still out working with his friend and is going to be doing some more tomorrow morning so at least we'll be able to afford some shopping this week
Should be straight to post office to post an Ebay item but I can't be bothered, it's not even parceled up yet! and I'm off tomorrow so will do it then. The buyer took a month to pay me so I don't mind posting it a day or two late :rotfl:
Lots to do around the house ... must tidy our bedroom and spare bedroom and bathroom really needs a clean! Will make a start tonight and finish tomorrow. Will try to find more goods to Ebay along the way ... 62 days to the Sun holiday and we need spending money and supplies  if you know what I mean
Tonight we're having pizza and chips and settling down to watch Batman Begins as I still haven't seen it and the new one's out tomorrow.
Hope everyone's had a lovely day and has a lovely evening and I hope it's this sunny tomorrow when I'm not stuck in an office unable to enjoy it!!Small business owner 🧵 Ex MSE comper 🏆 Student loan repayer 💴 Romanian dog rescuer 🐕 Hopefully a cost of living survivor 🤞🏻0 -
